That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Hell, Count Nefaria might've been a better antagonist for Iron Man 3 than the Mandarin that we got. Even Madame Masque, who's also Nefaria's daughter, could've showed up in place of Maya Hansen! Ironically though, as KRYMau said, if the Fox-Disney deal goes through, we'll probably be getting the real Doctor Doom instead. The only ways I could see him showing up are: 1. We get an Iron Man 4. Which would star Rhodey taking up the suit if Tony dies in Endgame. 2. He's the bad guy in a Captain Marvel sequel. Seeing him fight her briefly in Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher was kind of cool.

Just a suggestion. But, if Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is still serious about omitting X-men and Fantastic 4 characters (Meaning Dr. Doom and Magneto). Count Nefaria wouldn't be a bad choice for the villain section of the roster.
