just finished season 5. This season was just. PERFECT. Only thing that was kind off missing was the classic cobra kai vibe that the previous seasons had I dont know how to describe it properly it was just that this season felt ‘new’ and different from old ones. Its also crazy to see how the show evolved from season 1 to now

Barnes definitely deserved better, but the side-by-side fighting chemistry of him and Lawrence is definitely there. And they're BOTH badass. Plus eventhough his role in the Silver housefight was short, how he saved Johnny at the end was awesome. There's DEFINITELY a foundation there to do for Barnes what CK did for Chozen. Who knows? They might even become good friends, AND I'd personally like to see Barnes reopen his furniture store AND hire Johnny to work for/with him to help him become an honest earning father for his family.

Maybe season 6 will have Kreese and him find a way to make peace. Because Kreese is a revenge type of a person, but he wouldn't of done what Silver did, and Barnes probably had every wound reopened and it's still not properly handled.

I know Silver is a evil piece of shit, but I honestly feel bad for the man. After Karate Kid 3, he was able to change for the better and lived a happy life away from Cobra Kai. Kreese coming back and triggering his PTSD ruined his life. Terry is a very complex villain.

I loved the Easter eggs in this video like when Amanda called Kreese Rambo(Martin Kove was in Rambo 2) or Daniel referred to his cousin as Marisa Tomei Jr(Ralph Macchio starred with her in My Cousin Vinny). Back to this video, the nostalgia is strong in this show and it seems there’s too many characters to follow to give them enough screen time. I was a skeptic at first but do really love this show even if it is The Karate Kid meets Degrassi: The Next Generation.

This season by far is da best around. It’s Cobra Kai but at the same time something different which lets be honest was needed cuz if I see another Johnny Vs Daniel fight cuz of misunderstandings, misshaps, petty jealousies, Or oversized egos I’d just stop watching it right then & there cuz it’s too repetitive 😩 Seeing many relationships mended & new relationships formed definitely pulled me in this season, & Barnes teaming up with LaRusso & the rest of the Karate Avenger?! @@joeygelander6363 And every season I've been let down. When the Robby vs Miguel fight was leaked, I wasn't surprised that once again the writers favoured Miguel at Robby's expense. They could have at least given Robby the upper hand until he realized Miguel was against the railing and backed off, only for Miguel to lash out, mirroring the school fight, but nooo they can't even give Robby a slight win can they. The Miguel stans are already being insufferable about it. I'm a Robby fan. Is there any good reason I should watch season 5. Does Johnny ever put Robby's needs first. Is Miguel ever called out on, or admits his own fault in the school fight. Does Robby actually have any decent wins. Is Johnny's 17 years of neglecting Robby, especially in favour of Miguel ever addressed before they all become one big happy family. Does Miguel at any point feel slightly bad about the fact that Johnny always spends more time with him than his own son. From what I've heard Carmen's pregnant, so now Robby's reward for all his suffering is to watch Johnny be a good father to two kids when he never was for him. Do Robby and Tory at least stay together. Does he mend bridges with Kenny. Does Sam ever actually apologise for the way she treated Robby. I'm legit asking for spoilers because I don't want to be disappointed again.

Him and Tory break up but get back together by the end of the season. As for Kenny Robby try’s to get him to leave Cobra Kai the whole season but he won’t Kenny turned into a little brat kinda this season.

Robby has literally no wins over Miguel, there's no reason for him to think that Johnny won't still prioritize Miguel over him in the future, or neglect him for the new baby. Miguel hasn't apologized for starting the rivalry in the first place, or owned up to his own fault in the school fight. There's literally no reason for Robby to suddenly be over all his insecurities, abandonment issues or emotional trauma. It's lazy contrived writing that involves Robby doing all the work and making all the sacrifices just so Johnny can get his happy ending. Besides, It wasn't just this one fight, this was the latest in a string of the writers screwing Robby over. Is it true that Miguel taunts him by calling him runner up. Had the fight played out the way I suggested, would it really have affected the plot. That still means that they're apart for most of the season though. Not sure a handful of scenes makes the whole season worth watching. I might check in for season 6 to see them actually being in a relationship. Great, so Kenny's now another failure of Robby's that can be shoved in his face. I just want good things for Robby, is that so much to ask. At least he's back with Daniel this season, that alone might make it worth watching provided they go back to having a proper mentor-student relationship. Does he have any scenes with Chozen.

Two more characters: Eli Moskowitz and Antonio LaRusso. Eli - He was bullied online and in person for having a scar on his lip. Even his sensei made fun of him. He was driven to be a bully. He also couldn't help some of his actions due to his autism. Anthony - He was obviously the least faverout child. He fell into over pressure and then experienced revenge, which went too far. He also struggled with DMDD.

Just finished the new season, all I can say is holy shit. Towards the end I was on the edge of my seat after Chosen supposedly got killed, but didn’t! I also loved seeing former enemies make up and bury the hatchet. Tori and Sam definitely needed get past their conflict. The season ended on a much higher note than 3 and 4 combined, for that I give it a 10/10

Why couldn't they just let him have one win, either this season or the end of last. Why can't there just be one time when Johnny chooses him over Miguel and puts him first. One time where Miguel is called out for the way he treated Robby in season 1, or hogging all of Johnny's attention. Is that really so much to ask. Robby better win the International tournament, after all the times the writers forced him to lose, he's due a massive payoff after 5 seasons being the punching bag.

In the school fight Miguel literally just beat him up and robby had to use a coward win to get the upperhand and push him off a ledge. Robby is a great fighter but he’s just not as good as Miguel, he never will be. @@Vote4Vonster Exploiting a weakness would be hitting the shoulder during the round, not yanking it between rounds while Robby was offering him a hand up in a show of good sportsmanship. They were even for most of the school fight. Miguel intentionally used personal information that Johnny told him to attack Robby's trauma, making him lose control. That was on top of his girlfrirend cheating and Daniel kicking him out. It was only at the last minute he beat Robby. If Miguel was so much better, why do the writers always have to go to so much trouble to put Robby off balance. It wasn't a coward move, Robby had no reason to trust Miguel, especially since it was Miguel attacking Robby for most of that fight. Miguel's only better because the writers make it that way. They don't have to, they could portray them as more even, but they just like screwing Robby over. Because he has been. Johnny spends more time with Miguel than his own son. Sam cheated on him. Robby did the right thing trying to stop the fight, Miguel ambushed him and escalated things three times, yet Robby's treated like the bad guy for losing his temper for a second. No one acknowledges that he didn't mean to kick Miguel over the railing. Johnny continually lets him down and doesn't once try to help him in season four while Daniel has already replaced him with Miguel. I don't recall Robby ever getting a headband. He's expelled from school just when he was getting his life on track. And despite being an absolute beast in season 4 and the first character to master combining Cobra-Kai and Miyagi-Do the writers changed their minds at the last minute and contrived yet more bullshit to make him lose. And how does the season end? With Robby forgiving Johnny despite him doing nothing to earn it so that Johnny can have his happy ending. How does season 5 start? With Johnny once again prioritizing Miguel. I'm done, I give up. The writers will never do his character justice.

unpopular opinion - but Terry Silver belongs on this list. The man is a veteran who fought for his country, clearly suffers from complex PTSD, worked hard to engage with therapy to unpack his darker impulses, was emotionally manipulated and retraumatised by someone he considered like a brother and that provoked the worst elements of his personality to resurface. I really, really hope we get more Terry Silver next season.

I hope Chozen will b alright for next season which is suppose to b the last. Scared but no nerve damaged, or with Danial's help get a good plastic surgeon to remove the scars. Johnny and Chozen have talked about their times with Daniel, Mike should share his. Tori really needs help cause when she turns 18 her wicked-unloving aunt is gonna come for her little brother. Sam and the Miyagi Gang could do something for that and help Tori's mother. No one should have to carry that much baggage as a kid on their shoulders. Now if the next season is the last, all of Johnny's school friends, Kumiko, Ali and Julie should all meet together, with Kenny's brother freed and reunited.

I feel all the former rivals of Daniel now good guys suffered and had redeeming arc for their mistakes in their own way from Dan to Johnny, Chozen and Barnes. Dans dad dying as a kid then getting bullied and such being this angry and borderline vengeful kid at times, Johnnys dad leaving him and his mom with an ahole step-dad causing him to be a bully, Chozen always looking for the easy way out being a cheat and such probably felt he had to be perfect by his uncle in his eyes and Barnes getting screwed over after KK3 events but felt bad as well for being a douche to Dan. Now you feel even more bad for them in different reasons for what they recently went thru but glad they're all friends now. Amanda is annoying imo, she's selfish, impatient and impulsive. She needs to be more supportive of Daniel instead of dismissing his problems that clearly gave him PTSD as "a karate rivalry" She's not so perfect either she has a record from her past, she got Tory fired from her job when she could have spoken to her on the street or something and she was way off with Silver thus why Jessica had to educate her on just how dangerous he is before Amanda finally decided to support Daniel...his former rivals turned friends did before his own wife, what's that say about her? Also Mr. Miyagi whiles he's long gone always felt bad for with what happened with him and Soto and leaving because of the girl then having a family in the USA only to have to go to war and lose his wife and unborn child...I mean those 3 things would torment anyone until you die...but at least he had Daniel.

How can you not love Amanda, she's usually the voice of reason. Kyler sucked, but Samantha had to learn that for herself. She was right about Dan going to far by raising Johnny AND everyone else's rent. And Amanda did Tory fired, but did you miss the part where she learned her lesson, and that was actually well written? And she didn't know to the extent Silver got to Daniel. Amanda was right on the nose when Amanda finished telling the story: Daniel hadn't dealt with it. When you don't deal with it, explaining it is MUCH harder. Jessica either dealt with it or is at an advantage to telling the story because it wasn't directed at her. It's hard to supportive when you don't know the extent of support you're supposed to give.

Amanda can be an interesting character at times but is impulsive, quick tempered and a hot head herself and childish at times with not just getting tory fired but trying to make it up to her but not explaining that to her own daughter Sam who she knew had a serious beef with tory...just invites her kver without telling Sam? I'd say Carmen is more of a voice of reason because at least when her and Johnny fight its not a screaming contest then like "I'm taking the kids'! Because Sam and Anthony totally had a beef with Daniel? In fact as I recall SM wanted her dad to keep the Dojo open.... I agree about Kyler however he's still a dick. Now Kenny is. Yeah Daniel raised johnnys rent was lame but at least he doesn't have a record for busting some dudes car up with a bat... I'm pretty sure Jessica told Amanda Barnes physically hurt her working for silver and nearly killed them unless he signed a contract to fight if you remember? Dan told Amanda enough so she should support him by default the whole point of being a spouse to someone else you support their choices in a Crucial situation amanda came off as selfish to me. She also mocks every case with her triviliazing and 'karate rivalry" comments but is PTSD for Daniel...

Amanda didn't invite Tory over, Tory came over herself, and it was after the talk they had with the mermaid birthday party thing, so Amanda let her in to see what it was about, it was on the spur of the moment. And the all valley meeting scene? How were you not Johnny in this scene and laughing? And she doesn't understand, because look at the context of the show: it knows it can get outlandish and last season Amanda summed it up perfectly: I kinda miss the old days of dicks on billboards. But also notice how Daniel carried himself with Johnny and Kreese vs Silver. There wasn't a scene where Daniel explains how bad Silver was, and why he's different from Kreese. All he really says is Silver isn't afraid of putting kids in harm's way, but that technically Kreese, too. So, yeah, Amanda won't get it. Instant regret on her face and 2.) She actually completely accepted she was in the wrong from KREESE, who she hates... But it's totally normal to want to stop the crazy, not to mention Daniel gave his word to Kreese in season 3's end about the tournament. How much would he hate if Kreese took his word back there. I thought they'd address it, and Daniel would say he made the agreement with Kreese, and now he's in jail, so it's null and void now... But he didn't. I can't blame Amanda for being mad about trying a risky loophole with Chozen. And if Daniel did tell her, why is Jessica just bringing it up again, and why is Amanda acting like she hasn't heard it like this before? We see what's important to the story, so it did NOT happen And, I'm someone who's been in Daniel's shoes, you can't just expect people to back you up when you have PTSD, especially when it's a crazy revenge plot. Jessica said everything Silver's done in a logical manner, which is how you convince people who weren't there to join your side. You can't just rely on emotions, that's what liars and abusers to gaslight people, and it'll confuse people when you can't logically explain your trauma. Look at Jeanette McCurdy for example, she can explain everything that happened to her in a logical manner, can make dark humor jokes about it, not mince how bad it was, and talks in the moment without a thousand years stare.

The biggest disappoints for me have come in season 5. I was disappointed that there wasn’t moreMike Barnes. He should have been in a minimum of 2 fights (I’m not counting the limo drive from hell as a true fight because it get broke up too quick) and he should have had more involvement in the fight at Silver’s house. Him being out cold for most of the fight was a real tragedy and a sore misuse of the “Karate Badboy.” Devon should have been developed more and better. By the time of the conflict at the dojo it is not believable that even with Tory taking lead that the two could go up against master Sensei Kim. While talking character development, Sensei Kim is truly not developed well, kind of cartoonish and not believable as a true villain. Silver saying that Chozen is a valiant warrior is the truest phase of the series and Chozen really deserved better than to be taken down by a Silvers cheat shot while he is distracted. Bert has a lot of heart and Owen Morgan brings a lot of heart to the role and does get put in crappy situations. While Vanessa has been put in messy storylines her abuse is funny and my hats off to the actress playing her. Amanda is one of my favorite characters and I love how Courtney Hegneler has played her and how she has developed over the seasons even though she is watching a war that she has no clue about between Miyaggi-Do and Cobra-Kai. Has been entertaining for me also watching her as Daniel and Johnny have their bromance

I'm curious, what exactly is the more you think Miguel deserves. He get's revenge on his bullies several times over. He doesn't need his dad because Johnny has been a better father to him than he was to his own son, plus, at least Miguel knows that Hector would be a crappy father regardless and doesn't have to wonder 'why could he be a good dad for someone else but not me?'. Sam had good reasons for breaking up with him but she always goes back to him regardless of what he does, even after convincing Robby to start a relationship with her, and she never played with his feelings, that's Robby you're thinking of. Yes the kick over the railing was bad, but it was his own fault for escalating the fight in the first place, which he was never called out on nor apologized for. Besides, he was on his feet again in what, 1 month 2? And back in fighting shape after a few weeks. He has all his friends on the same side again, Daniel took him under his wing in season 4, he's an all valley champion (undeserved though it was). By this point it's clear that the writers with never allow Miguel to lose, ever. I don't know, seems like he gets everything he wants. He'll probably get a full college scholarship after winning the international tournament (even though it really should be Robby who's long past due a win). What would you have given Miguel that he doesn't already have? I'm genuinely curious here. As a Robby fan I'd be happy for Robby to get one decent win, for Johnny to put him first once, yet with everything Miguel already has, his fans still want more.

Honourable mentions demitri and hawk/Eli demitri used to just be a nerdy kid bullied by kyler and his friends but then he tried to join cobra Kai and he got rejected he then joined miyagi do to get taught there but eventually he becomes enemies with his former best friend eli/hawk he embarrassed hawk at a party but then hawk tried to beat him up at school which led to hawk getting kicked through a trophy case, skip to season three hawk messes with a miyagi do while they are at there work so Sam and demitri come to help they start to win but Tory comes which makes Sam scared and starts to hide then hawk pins demitri to the ground and then gets peer pressured by other cobra kai's to break his arm and he did then later at school he gets bullied and kyler draws a penis on his cast and everybody laughs at him. Moving on to hawk before getting the Mohawk he was just a shy nerdy kid with a weird lip he got bullied so much for his lip later he joined cobra Kai where he was made fun of and then he left, a while later he came back with and epic blue Mohawk and a awesome back tattoo that made him gain confidence and that led to the hawk we know and love today Holy crap that took me a while to write please like
