Hey everyone, please note: due to its offensive content, we've opted not to show the "more diverse" version of flag from the episode, "Chef Goes Nanners," in entry 7. If you'd like to see it in its entirety, please go watch "South Park" on Comedy Central! Which serious issue do YOU want to see "South Park" tackle? Let us know in the comments! And for More South Park, check out our playlist: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaqQgWpurdGseac

I just saw on the Internet news (can’t remember where exactly; think it was my personalized Google News) that they’ve gotten the “go-ahead” for, if my memory serves me correctly, 5 or 6 more seasons. That’s great because the episode that got me into South Park was the Pandemic Special. After seeing as a non-fast forward commercial so many times while watching stuff on demand and actually snickering a few times, I decided to watch it when it premiered and decided that if I liked it, I would give the show a chance. Next thing I know, I’m dying of laughter at at least one or two jokes in every single episode and signed up for HBO Max just to watch the episodes that wouldn’t air on Comedy Central

“What seems to be the officer, problem?” will never fail to make me laugh. I’ve been watching South Park since I was 12 (I’m 30 now), and honestly I still think it’s a great show. Sometimes I think they do go a little heavy on ‘we have to make fun of EVERYONE’ even if it’s things I don’t even think they personally believe in but overall I think they do tackle some subjects really well while still allowing us to laugh. Not everyone’s humor is the same and there is stuff on South Park I’m not a fan of but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s terrible, just not my taste. I think there’s a line that they actually manage to balance on pretty well.

The "Identifying as" episode a couple of seasons before the school shooting episode deserved to be on the list. Starting with Cartmen walking to school with the "Today could be the day..." running monologue going in his mind you thought he was going to be a shooter. Instead it turned into an argument over his identifying as a girl so he could use the girls bathroom.

I absolutely loved the Conversion Therapy episode! I’m bi myself, and it was such a good episode to show what I, and many others in the LGBTQ+ community, have and had to deal with throughout our lives. It’s so hard to accept yourself sometimes, but they did a great job of discussing such a sensitive matter in a way that was exceptionally humorous and supportive of our plight :)

4:30 The desensitization to violence was a really good one, but at the same time, I also sided with Randy in believing that Sharon really was flying off the handle. Yes, I did agree with Sharon that the school shootings were getting out of control and that they needed to be taken care of, but she was really getting out of hand when she wanted everyone to be just as upset as she was. That was also an issue in of itself. Everyone responds to depressing situations differently and just because people don’t respond the same way you do doesn’t mean that they don’t care just as much as you, so Sharon really needed to be reminded of that. The ending of that episode really hammered that point perfectly, with a bit of humor at the end in the typical South Park fashion. But the episode also made a good point in how violence is now an “everyday occurrence” and we’ve gotten so used to hearing it on the news that we think the world just can’t be fixed anymore, which is 100% TOTALLY FALSE!!

I suffered from an addiction to alcohol ( 2 years, 2 months sober) I found the AA meeting depicted in South Park to be very accurate. AA are ignorant about addiction, and the meetings are stupid. As someone who actually worked in a rehab center and had to sit through these meetings and have gone to school to gain an education on psychology and addiction, I hate AA. It creates this sense of powerlessness in the people who go to it and the heavy handed religiousness of it feels like some sort of conversion group. The members will try to insist it isn't that it's about spirituality in general, but the word God is mentioned a lot, even in their own rules. I just hate it. I'd rather people actually learn about addiction and how it affects the brain, body, and their behaviors.

I'm now 2 years and 3 months sober and I tried AA and hated it. It didn't help me, it tried to push religion on me as the only path to recovery. It's just a cult indoctrinating people when they are at their lowest I got sober through wanting to change and not wanting to leave my kids without a dad. Not because of belief in some sky fairy.

I agree, AA/NA groups are mostly people glorifying their using days. Treat those with the most "years clean" on some pedestal and god forbid you get a job which takes place during your normal hours of going to meetings. Because when you return they always accused you of relapsing

I honestly felt that the show was originally about the craziness around the town and lots of originality, but now it became aware of the reality and bound to bring more attention and ridicule to any existing media possible while retaining the humor within the show.

The episode where Stan's (Billy) grandpa chases him around trying to get him to kill him. The boys ask several people if it's ok, but all of them won't "touch that with a 100 foot poll". The length of the pole keeps getting longer every time they ask another person. Even Jesus wants nothing to do with it.😏

@@patrickmcginty3234 that is what I’m referring to. Thomas was the only adult in the entire town that was against Craig being gay and was borderline homophobic Craig also did not accept himself until his father accepted him! It was actually handled really well but most people over look it cause of the overall silliness of the episode!

Me and my girlfriend were discussing that horrible(by most accounts)Netflix film "Cuties"(haven't seen it and never will) when I said that South Park had already tackled the themes of sexualising young girls(Stupid, spoiled whore playset)and harmful body ideals(the hobbit) perfectly. I said we could watch it, but warned her that it's actually pretty dark and serious. She Loved AND hated the episode.
