Could have most all of the Chili Peppers vids on this list , they still today are making some strange ones , but the music is still good.

The reason for the puppet in the Blackstreet video is easily explained if you lived during that time. There was a popular commercial featuring Penny Hardaway and a puppet version of him. And when Lil Penny was in the Blackstreet video it made sense... Like a cameo.

Celine's video feels like a remake/copy of Meatloaf's video "I'd do anything for love" released 1993
@Friendship1nmillion7 ай бұрын
DIDN'T they record that song as a duet together ?? ♑✍️🇸🇯🇦🇺
@shellc7 ай бұрын
Celine did her version in 96 and Meatloaf released his in 2006.
@shellc7 ай бұрын
@@Friendship1nmillion It was written originally written for Meatloaf but he fell out with Jim Steinman who wrote most of his music so Celine recorded and released it in 1996. Jim & Meatloaf finally reconciled and Meatloaf released it as a duet with Maron Raven in 2006. Personally I prefer the duet version to Celine singing it alone.

Baby Got Back “was shortly banned by MTV” - meaning relegated to being shown after 9:00 PM for a brief time. Which was always the best time to watch MTV until all the reality shows took over.

I get it… People are desperate to find subjects to make content about because it’s so saturated now …but…judging things that were huge during their time a couple decades later during a completely different time is ridiculous, inaccurate and a waste of time. I’m not even gonna watch the video. I hate that I’m promoting the algorithm by commenting but it needs to be said.

Trivia: The guy doing pushups in the Black Hole Sun video is the same guy that played Rocky in Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Really? Cool! I had heard that he gave up show business in shame after playing Rocky. Perhaps the interim success of Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Meatloaf changed his mind

7:45 It would only be called cultural appropriation by some Americans standards.Japanese have repeatedly said that they like it when other people appreciate and take part in their culture. This makes sense when you consider the real definition of cultural appropriation is to say that a different culture created something other than the one that did. IE it could only be cultural appropriation if Madonna said white people invented the kimono.

The video for Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" REALLY freaked me out when I first saw it! The shot of that deranged housewife with Joker-esque smile, waving that cleaver over the live fish on the cutting board is the stuff of nightmares!
