One that I would mention would be Tomar-Re in Young Justice. I can’t imagine what he went through constantly being reminded of his greatest failure, whenever the galaxies greatest hero Superman was mentioned. The way he honorably gave his life to save New Genesis helped him die with a clear conscience, knowing he was able to save that world.

@𝕿𝖔𝖒á𝖘 𝕯. 𝕸𝖔𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖆 🇨🇴 exactly my point. Brion most likely wanted to kill bedlam for everything he did to their family, but without the interference of the ambassador influence it is highly doubtful he would have acted on that impulse. At least imo anyway.

@@camortie True enough. But there is the fact that Brion( a Markovian royal and is essentially judge, jury and executioner on his native land) , was goaded into killing his uncle Bedlam by the latter himself. Otherwise Brion would've given his uncle a huge slap on the wrist to continue trafficking metahuman kids and people would suffer as a result of that poor decision. So half of Brion DID want Bedlam dead, regardless of whatever the Team thinks.

I knew the Joker was going to be number 1. Mark Hamill’s Joker is incredible. The Joker is not only Batman’s greatest enemy but also has many versions of him that are evil. In Batman Beyond Return of the Joker he tortured and brainwashed Tim instead of killing him like he does to Jason in the comics. Also the Joker has caused so much hurt to a Batman and his friends.

In number 8, Owlman pretty much did it to himself. Whan Batman sent him to that cold uninhabitable Earth, the owl-themed supervillain had the option to either: 1) Use the dimension-traveling device to transport himself to another Earth, or.... 2) deactivate the Q.E.D bomb. Yet ultimately, he chose to let the bomb explode.

In the censored version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, The Joker's death played out differently. Instead of shooting him,Tim Drake shoved The Joker into a water tank, causing some electric cables to wrap around him, The Joker slipped, as he was getting up, and accidentally threw a switch, electrocuting himself. Although I like uncensored death better, I do appreciate the fact he was essentially killed the same way twice in the censored version; albeit through different means.

That statement is only true in cases where the villain is awful even after being shown mercy. Technically saving a villains life even after everything should be a true hero move as long as it doesn't backfire and result in needless death. My argument is that saving a villain is only wrong when they are irredeemable and unwilling to pay back your kindness with kindness. Just saying..

What's interesting about Joker's demise is there are 2 different versions, the uncut version and TV version... and it's actually hard to say which is more satisfying. The end version, shown in the clips from this video, is satisfying because it's so abrupt and it completely takes Joker, as well as us, completely off guard. In the TV version, however, Tim gains control and fights Joker, causing him to get tangled in electric cables on a wet floor and Joker slips, turning on the power and electrocuting himself. The latter is satisfying because, not only did Tim break Joker's hold, but Joker died in the equivalent of slipping on a banana peel. Quite a fitting end for the Clown Prince of Crime, don't you think?

I'm noticing that pattern only holds true in DC. It's funny really-Marvel has so many morally gray characters that never get called out on their murderous habits, but DC does this to an annoyingly daily basis. I don't think the problem is with the heroes, but rather DC's determination to shove that no kill morality down their audience throats despite knowing full well that their villains have every right to be murdered and pretty much not right at all being this hard to punish for their crimes. Plus, we are talking about DC, the same company who sexualizes Nightwing on a daily basis and consistently ignores his history of being sexually assaulted, I don't want to think about DC comics with that knowledge in mind, they could be failing now for all I care, I'm gonna create my own DC universe but give villains brutal deaths like no other..
