+K. Lon Same as Flashback has some issues with the controls, but given that the original developers worked on this re-make and they changed some story elements for the pacing, it is not that bad. The original is pretty much unplayable nowadays anyway (I tried it and stopped quickly to not ruin my good memories of it). People who complain about parts of it being silly... well the original was not all that well thought out either, but rather on an intellectual line with movies like "Running Man".

KoolDawg99 The music is great and it fills me with nostalgia every time I play it! The multiplayer was so badass and unforgettable. Truly, you would have to be a purist Frogger fan to hate this game; I bet because it "breaks away" from the traditional style. Well, to me, I liked its new style. Normally, I dislike games that change things up for no reason, but Frogger did an exceptionally well job at it. I loved that disc system it did for the menus as well.

I wouldn't consider Sonic 06 a reboot, it was just supposed to be a fresh take continuation of the Sonic Adventure games. (but ended up being a rushed and glitchy mess to most who have played it.) The game even leaves a hint of taking place after Sonic Rush, because 2 scenes with Blaze had her questioning the thought of a blue hedgehog being the cause of the world's destruction. Blaze met Sonic in Sonic Rush, so she was likely finding it hard to believe that the blue hedgehog she met in the past, could possibly be a threat to their own world. The game also seems to take place after the real ending from Shadow The Hedgehog. Shadow still uses weapons and vehicles. In the real ending to Shadow The Hedgehog, Shadow proved to the GUN army that he was never made to be a threat to the world, which likely lead to GUN wanting Shadow to join their ranks. Sega describe the game as being a new take on the series, but it is indeed not a reboot. Sonic Boom is indeed a reboot, because it changes from a little, to a lot with it's setting, character behavior and appearances, and more.

Agreed. they include 06 in Generations as part of the primary Sonic time line. Save for Sonic 2-3K, most games in the series do not refer to earlier games. Adventure 2 didn't call back to Adventure 1 Heroes didn't call back to the adventures.. etc etc.

Adventure 2 did call back to Adventure 1. Remember the part where Rouge read a newspaper referring to Tails saving everyone from Dr Eggman's attack on Station Square? (Tails's final battle in Sonic Adventure.) Then she's chasing his plane down in her car. How was that not a callback to Sonic Adventure? Sonic Heroes even referred back to Sonic Adventure more than once, mostly in Team Rose's Story Mode. I remember Amy saying "this place reminds me of Casinopolis" which implies she visited the casino from Sonic Adventure. She also mentions "This reminds me of our battle on the Egg Carrier" during Team Rose's last stage. Not to mention Shadow being brought back to life, which was an obvious indication of it being a sequel to Sonic Adventure 2.

Just to point out Sonic 06, Isn't really bestiality at least not how making it sound. I can name a few: Paper Mario: Sticker Star: While Super Paper Mario did remove the RPG element, this one doesn't feature any of the features that made the originals fun like powerful story and likable side-characters. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity: The main thing about PMD is the story, and this one was a real letdown. Bubsy 3D: How do you ruin something that was barely good to begin with?

I quite enjoyed Bionic commando, I didnt know that it was a reboot from an old game until long after I had played, so I didnt have any prejudices or expectations. the learnig curve of the swing mechanic made it feel more of an accomplishment when you about midway trough the game swung around effortlessly.

The Medal of Honor reboot was one of my favorite shooters because it gave you useable weapons for online, separate sides so there was never spawn camping, and actually killed you for getting shot (rather than bleed from they eyes for a few seconds or having a shield). Not a terrible game, but by no means the best

At least Definitive Edition, or you could call it the Haters Were Right Edition or We're Sorry Edition looks to be decent if you only play bloody palace mode, and the hair was only a minor problem but they even fixed that too!

The really sad thing about "Alone in the Dark" was that it had so much potential. I remember getting it from GameFly and trying my damnedest to play through it. The realistic item combination and the use of fire were great ideas, but the controls and the level design sucked so much. Supposedly, they released another version (on a different system, I think?) that fixed the controls, but by then I didn't give a shit.

I disagree with the Shadow Run FPS. The game was actually a really fun team based shooter that had some really innovative mechanics, such as the ability to teleport through walls, and team comp actually mattered. There was always a way to counter everything, and it required a lot of skill, much like an arena shooter, rather than a dumbed down CoD clone. The problem was that there were some bugs and balance issues, but they never got sorted out because the studio closed. They probably should have just called it something other than Shadowrun, however, because that ruined expectations since it really didn't have any of the classic Shadowrun feel.

HalfBreedMix it had pretty much nothing to do with shadowrun, but the gameplay was a lot of fun, they just should have marketed it as something other than shadowrun since other than the setting it shared nothing with it's source material.

Daredhnu sounds like they figured naming it ShadowRun would secure more sales; but I believe it probably hurt sales more than anything else (tricking loyal fans of a series only helps sales in the short-run {hehe, get it "short-run"} ).

HalfBreedMix oh i'm not going to argue that, i'm pretty sure it being called shadowrun while being a rather blatant shooter definately drove away fans of the shadowrun franchise. sad thing is the gameplay actually could have secured them the sales through word-of-mouth advertisement if they had called it something else, now a lot of people didn't buy it out of principle. i had a lot of fun teleporting around and slicing people up with a katana as an elf one minute and then blowing people away as a troll with a big ass gun the next.

it has nothing other than sonic and his friends that ties it to the original, crappy story, crappy control, stupid camera and tons of glitches, this is NOT what sonic is about plus sonic moves so damn slow until one of those mach speed sections but then he's moving too fucking fast for the terrain he's moving on, which results in you hitting invisible objects (yes these sections are glitched) and if sonic even stubs his toe he'll lose all of his rings, trip and immediately die cuz he hit another object or flew off a cliff

OSOK Mindset I believe that the problem had more to do with it changing a lot from the originals, disregarding the lore, and giving the protagonist magical abilities. As for the difficulty, I have heard that the difficulty was actually higher on the old games, partly because the AI is less persistent. It probably is a lot more enjoyable for new players. :)

TimedRevolver The reason people hate DmC is mostly because they dumbed down the combat beyond belief compared to the older games in the series. Try playing DmC on Hell or Hell then play DMC3 on Hell or Hell and try to score SSS everytime. You'll quickly notice how much harder DMC3 is.

PetersonZF You can't ever compare Medal of Honor to Call Of Duty. The games have always come out side by side almost even back to the ps2 days. But Call Of Duty got attention for it's multiplayer while Medal of Honor focused more so on the storyline. I have never played a Medal of Honor game that I didn't like but Call Of Duty's fanbase always overshadows it now a days.

Omg people. Shut up about 06 already. First off, Sonic may have had not so great games since this one, but it isn't dead! Even if the fans may suck at times, i, myself, am a fan who doesn't represent the core of the fandom. However, Sonic and Elise aren't bestiality, they only kissed, not had sex. And dammit, you all should be happy, it technically didn't even happen. Besides, originally Sonic was meant to be with a human girl by the name of Madonna back in his classic days!
