My mom got those Shrek glasses. Before the recall, I think I wanted to drink out of one of them when my mom told me they were for collecting. A while after she got the whole set, the recall happened, but she kept the glasses on a high shelf for decoration.

In 2014 we exposed the concealment of a deadly defect that General Motors kept hidden since 2002. That defect killed my daughter in 2005 and many after. My top goal was to make the cost of not recalling so expensive that GM will think twice about doing that again. That ignition switch recall shown at minute 14:30 suggests we may have hit that goal.

Hehe, my sister had an Easy Bake Oven way back in the 80's when we grew up. Suffice to say, it did predict the future. Somehow, she always managed to burn everything she put in there. I have no idea how either. But, usually I could tell if she was using it as I'd smell burnt cookies or cakes. And she still can't cook at all or even make food. Our mother makes a really good item called 'Spaghetti Salad,' which is basically cooked spaghetti, russian dressing, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, and red onions. It's really good and easy to make. Somehow she managed to make it into this mess of noodle mush with soggy vegetables, and the mush had absorbed all the dressing.

My first car was a 76 Pinto. When I heard about the gas tank problem I ordered a tank shield from Ford and had it installed. Shortly after that installation the recall was issued. I took my car to the dealer expecting a refund for the already installed shield. Instead the mechanic told me it was difficult to install the second shield with the already installed one 😏 The video didn't mention the Hartz flea spray recall. My cat, Sinbad, had the worse reaction our vet saw. He was bouncing of the walls at home. Hartz sent me a check for $25 dollars to compensate. The vet bill was much higher since he had to stay at the vet to be watched and treated. I believe it damaged his kidneys too. We never cashed the check. Our Toyota Camry was recalled for the gas pedal, visors (twice) one still won't work & dashboard. They never completed the visor replacement properly and refused to make it right. I never received the dashboard recall and they refused to take care of the problem.

I had the shrek glasses. They were a collectable so we never drank out of them and we kept them. My son was about 4 months old when my my infantino baby sling was recalled and my youngest had a Fisher price infant sleeper that come to find out could actually cause SIDS. I never found out about the problem with the sleeper until after she outgrew it. Still makes me sick when I think about all the time she spent in it as a newborn. My Explorer had the Firestone tires that were recalled and all I had to do was take it the the Ford place where they were replaced for free. Never thought about all the recalls I've had until this list.😬

Some artist’s pigments contain cadmium. I used to use cadmium yellows, and they seemed okay, but when I started to mix cadmium red bright with water, the odor made me gag. It didn’t smell like anything except plastic and sulfur. I finally had to dispose of it. When I heard it was toxic, I was unsurprised.

I had the ikea dresser that was recalled because it would flip over when drawers were left open or if it was too heavy. This happened when I was in like in high school so around 2015. As soon I saw it was recalled I brought it back immediately cuz I remember it falling on me multiple times as a kid, plus I needed a new dresser anyways 🤣🤣

I was really into Polly Pocket before the recall. Like in 2003. Then I heard about the lead content and felt sick and was glad I didn't have them any more. Were those mistreated cows starved? They looked very thin. The only one I remember was the Galaxy Note 7. There were warnings at the airport that you couldn't bring them on flights (that was almost three years ago, when I was going overseas for my sister's wedding).

I bought a Note 7 for my (now) ex-wife for her birthday. She LOVED it. Zero issues. Then the initial trade-in recall hit, so she traded it in for her replacement. That one didn't work as well and seemed as if there might be a battery issue with it at times (occasionally lightly buzzing and getting hot while charging, etc.). Then an OTA update was pushed saying the phone was going to be bricked within 60 days, so I ordered a Pixel to replace it. This was when the original Pixel was incredibly backordered, so 5 days before the phone was going to be auto-bricked and still not ETA for the Pixel, we replaced it with a LG V20 (barf). The Verizon store wouldn't even take the phone, and we were provided a triple-layered/insulated box to ship the phone back.

My dad does business in China, going about four times a year before the pandemic. During the baby formula problem and for almost two years afterwards he would bring almost a full extra large suitcase stuffed with American baby formula for business associates as well as their family and friend who had babies. You have to remember in certain parts of China they still upheld the one child law, so your baby was all you had for a child. Well at that time they were pushing for breaking that law for the entire country and I do believe it has been broken to where you can have at least two children. Again I think.

I think it’s since been updated to a three child policy and parents are actively encouraged to have three kids, they’re that desperate to increase their population, but it’s not really working because of the large population deficit of women, the fact that you don’t unlearn years of propaganda immediately, and because having kids is expensive

I have a 2010 Ford Mustang GT. Yes the airbags were recalled. Of course I did the driver's side first when the recall first came out. I just recently did the passenger side. Ford would send these pretty cool reminders to get it done. Well if dealerships would have the proper replacement parts made available (prior to supply chain crisis) at the time of the recall I would have done them both at the same time.

@@muralipoojithvutukuri781 Recalling means to return all the products from the consumer to the manufacturer. The Max jets were just grounded wherever they were, until the defect was rectified. @@tgfan458 How can you expect the consumers to return the product to its manufacturer when the product itself was banned from flying. Since recall is not an option in this case, boing staff reached out to the grounded planes around the world to fix the errors before they got certified to fly. Apart from the technical meaning of recall, this is the most costliest mistake made by a company that required every product to be fixed to minimise the errors.
