No, I don’t want a season two. But I would be okay with having no more than three extra episodes that connects this series to “Rebels”’s where Ezra meets Obi-Wan. Maybe explain how Kenobi completes his training to become one with the Force like his Jedi Master Qui-Gon. Other than that, I’m good with filling in the dots between this series, Rebels, and ANH.

Right before Obi-Wan leaves, he says “Then my friend is truly dead”, to Vader, which mirrors when Luke said “Then my father is truly dead” in ROTJ. Seeing Qui-Gon Jin again has made me and other fans of the Prequel Trilogy so much tears of joy! Disney shows a lack of respect of Star Wars in the anti sequel trilogy. The third dual between Obi Wan & Vader is truely epic and in awe! Up to the point where we get to see Obi Wan coming to accept Anakin cannot be saved from the dark side as Vader took over. And we also see Ahsoka tried to plead him. In the end, Vader despise Anakin(his weakness). In that line “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker. I did” shows how far gone the fallen Jedi is, and there’s no way neither them can save him. Only his children Luke & Leia can.

Missed thing #1: The quality
@skbeardsley2 жыл бұрын
While I, like many fans would like to see a Season 2, I would hope if they do, they improve the graphic quality and wouldn't 'mess it up' writing-wise because S1 was pretty plausible and true to all the movies as they were. If they did a S2 or a 'Vader' series, there are MANY things from the original Star Wars that give them plot material to delve into... carefully .... 1) in ROTJ Vader says "Obi-wan once thought as you do" when Luke tells him there is still good in him. While Obi Wan did apologize to Vader/Anakin in S1, he did not yet really try to turn him back to the light. I think at the end when Vader called out "Obi Wan!" as he walked away, it was also like Anakin was calling Obi Wan back to help him. In a future encounter, instead of fighting, Obi-Wan could somehow try to reach him and turn him back to the light. Obi wan could mention how Padme believed there was still good in him [which would make Vader angry]. 2) Could Vader have figured out about, or at least suspected he had a kid that lived, just prior to ANH? Maybe Vader starts obsessing over the circumstances around Padme's death and comes closer to secretly figuring it out [from Obi-Wan, or on his own] and in doing this starts his long journey back to the light. Through all the original movies, it seems like Vader is on some level, protecting Luke from the Emperor ["He is just a boy - Obi-wan can no longer help him"]. He also doesn't seem altogether surprised when Luke shows up at the end of ANH - so I think it's plausible that he at least begins to connect the dots prior to that. After all, Luke is a "Skywalker" and although it's a big galaxy, that's not exactly a common name.... 3) in ANH Obi-wan says of Vader, "He is more machine now than man, twisted and evil". Obi wan has seen some of Vader's evil in S1, but there could be another encounter where Obi-wan sees Vader do something even more twisted, evil, or tricks/uses Obi-Wan which reinforces why Obi wan thinks [in the movies] that he is beyond help. 4) in ROTJ Vader says "You don't know the power of the Dark Side, I must obey my master" - the Emperor. Perhaps Obi Wan [with his new found power from S1] with Qui-Gon's help decides to try to find / kill the emperor, with the goal saving Anakin/Vader. Maybe Obi Wan makes progress with Vader but the Emperor again sees it and intervenes, or Obi Wan actually faces the emperor [and loses] 5) Padme's death in ROTS was not really explained. What mother who just had 2 newborns would 'give up' and die? If this topic was ever revisited in a Vader series, it could be revealed through flashback that the emperor intentionally sucked the life out of her to keep Vader alive, or that she gave her life force away to Vader by choice, sacrificing herself. This would make Vader/Anakin feel really more guilty, angry and possibly conflicted about the whole thing, because he would not have wanted this. It could affect his journey as a character. Anyways, I did enjoy S1, thought it was overall well done.

There are also scenes from Force Unleshed. The one with the dark interrogation room. It was in one of the trailers when Starkiller kills a bunch of stormtroopers in a dark circle shaped room. The scene where Vader catches the ship with the Force is from the part where Starkiller tears down a stardestroyer from the sky. Also I'm pretty sure that the flashback scene where it ends with Anakin chargin Obi-Wan is a straight up "copied" shot from either Revenge of the Sith or Attack of the Clones. Vader making a hole in the ground and looking down on Obi-Wan is also a revenge moment for Obi-Wan's high ground as now Vader got the higher ground. :D The scar on Vader's head is not new tho. It was already there and they couldn't make newer ones because of the scene in ROTJ's ending. And I only saw the show twice. I am sure I will find more if I rewatch it a few times.

When Luke Skywalker is holding the model of the T-16 skyhopper, at 09:30, there's a full scale T-16 in the background just to the right behind Artoo near the walkway bridge. It's even at the same angle as the model Luke holds. Originally that was going to be Luke's vehicle but the production team had mounting problems so instead went with the landspeeder. Surprised they didn't use the shot of the T-16 from the special edition of Jedi. I've always had a special fondness for the craft so when they finally show one in the special edition I was happy although it moved very slowly. It should have been two skyhoppers racing away from the camera going around a tower and then quickly flying back to the camera again. That could have been the transition point to the next scene.

As far as the kenobi series goes it's full of bittersweet moments and i enjoyed all the reunions between the actors and their characters. Also when in doubt remember in the words of eno cordorva: "Failure is not the end, it is a necessary part of the path.Hope will always survive in those who continue to fight." Despite obi-wan's failures he stayed true to the jedi way, and the franchise itself still has some strong moments.

No... I don't want them to butcher this masterpiece of a pre-sequel. It's made, it's well done... Please don't butcher this boy.
