I wanted the PS2 for my whole childhood just to play The Sims and other games. Now I finally have the chance to do that. Urbz and Castaway are the bomb, but I know there are a few other titles. Also check out the GBA/DS/PSP handheld games.

I remember The Simpsons Skateboarding, got it as a gift or as a blind game choice. :P I think I only played it once because it got me really frustrated. I didnt know the names for the skateboard tricks, so I just spammed key presses hoping to get it and figure out which one was which. And there was nothing going on, just a couple of maps with obstacles, but that might just be that the genre was never for me. In any case, I only played it once and I trashed the disc shortly afterwards.

There is a game called 'Mad Meistro'. You play as a conductor instructed by the spirit of a decaying music Hall (pictured as a fairy) to gather up a band of random bastards and play along to some famous songs. And by play, I mean hit a button to 4/4/ time and hope to sweet Mike that you have good timing. Doesn't help that the final level removes the metronome completely and you fail automatically, no matter how hard you try or how well you can time hits. I either suck at this game, or it's just bad. All I know is A). No one talks about it, and B). When I bought it, it was a used copy that was forced into a GameCube box with the Ps2 cover art slipped in.

Wow. Little Britain is on the list. And here's some interesting trivia about this game that MANY PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW!: The game was actually banned in Germany because of a minigame which involved homophobia that was used as an incentive or reward. Yet despite the ban, the game was still released in the country regardless, but with a fake MA18+ classification. However, just shortly after it came out, it quickly went on the index, and the game was pulled from shelves. This made 2nd hand copies of the German version SKYROCKET, giving this AWFUL garbage a VALUE it DOESN'T DESERVE.

Bad Boys Miami Takedown is actually dumb fun if you're looking for a shooter like that. Definitely not unplayable, there's some decent cheats in there too (like exploding enemies). All stages are at least quite varied too.

I guess I'm lucky, I used my PS2 to play mostly Jak and Daxter games, which is a great series by the way. The PS2, not-so-great Hardware, every one I've had failed, and I've had three of them. Never paid for a single one, it's good having friends that want to give you things that they don't use, simply because they aren't using them.
