But shown how Goku really develop during the training under Kami and Mr. Popo. But made the fight in a new dynamic when Tien show's that he can clone body and split his power level.

Lol, they sucked us all in, tricked us into caring for the characters more than we usually would, always kept the hero as the underdog in their battles and not once did they ever disappoint!! it’s been 20+ yrs since most fans started watching it and here we all are still talking about those epic battles…. Future Trunks has the best character entrance in the series hands down no debate, and it’s not even close. I bought the iconic DBZ VHS tapes of these particular episodes when I was in middle school. I’ll never forget him showing up, icing all Frieza’s henchman without lifting a finger, and going SSJ as Frieza’s dead followers fly up into the air from him powering up. Meanwhile Frieza is having PTSD level flashbacks of Goku on Namek, as King Cold’s zesty ass (pause) questions his sexuality in front of his racially ambiguous offspring. Also, the art direction for these episodes is top tier DBZ, legit almost every single frame is amazing, especially the “dueling SSJ” moment between Trunks & Goku as their golden aura’s clash

Piccolo vs Imperfect Cell, the battle where Cell revealed himself and caused such a stir. His legendary appearance in his Imperfect form is still my favorite and the fact that he displayed powers and abilities that were thought limited to all our favorite characters was glorious. Yes, this is the one I thought was missing too. Piccolo seeks to fuse with Kami to gain the power to fight the androids. But then Kami reveals "another threat" that he's been monitoring and knows he needs Piccolo's help to fight. They both have their reasons for re-fusing, great story telling. Cell emerges and thinks he knows everything, then is shocked that Piccolo is actually a bit stronger than he is. It was awesome to see Piccolo get to shine for a while, like he did against Frieza after fusing with Nail.

Goku vs. Piccolo was truly an intense back and forth battle. I wish there was a winner in the Piccolo vs. Android 17 battle, I thought Piccolo might've had the slightest chance of winning. Honorable mention: Piccolo arriving on Namek buys Goku more recovery time. He may have fused with Nail beforehand (granted) but at least Piccolo had a fighting chance... before Frieza transformed into his 3rd form.

Goku vs buu was a great fight and the best part which is the most hilarious is biting each other. Vegeta vs Toppo was incredible to watch especially with Vegeta defeating a God of destruction. All the Ultra Instinct fights were epic especially when Goku took on Kefla and then Mastered Ultra Instinct vs Jiren was amazing. Any battle between Goku and Vegeta will always be downright awesome. I have to agree with this list. Goku vs. Frieza was a legendary fight back then. When Goku first transformed into Ssj 1 against Frieza. Almost the longest fight in anime history. Awesome years later.
