I respect Watchmojo for highlighting the fact/fiction of the Crown as it’s so easy to watch a fictional drama based on real life and assume it all happened.

Maybe it did happend. We can only draw our conclusions on the basis of aquired knowlegde, now who is to dissiminate that knowlegde? A presumptuous, prejudiced Penny Junor? A toxic bile like Lady (or what ever he is) Colin Cambell, both loyal to the Crown and filled with preconceived notions, concerning e.g Princes Diana, and insisting that their interpretation is the correct one? Fortunately, NETFLIX is free to take the angle they want and its your prerogative, to deal with it. Netflix does not conclude for me, I draw my own conclusions, using my own discernment. Was their a conspiracy to murder Diana, Princess of Wales to save the Monachy, and to fasciliate Bill Clintons rettractement of the armament agreement of abolishing all landmines? In my opinion, YES. Bill Clinton retracted from the promise he gave Diana, Princes of Wales, officiallly, on the 16 september 1997, just 17 days after, Princess Diana lie dead in a cold grave. Does NETFLIX support the accident theory or the assassination theory? By all accounts they support the offical theory, at least officially . From my perspective the accident theory is unsubstantiated and pure nonse. It all comes down to what you subscribe to. I have my knowlegde from the Documents The Jury Never Saw and and the french transcripts. On that basis I conclude, that NETFLIX is pure fiction, corserning HOW Princess Diana died.

I have watched and re-watched "The Crown" multiple times with the exception of the episode about the Bowes-Lyons Sisters. It was too heartbreaking

My favourite episode was "Beryl" in Season 2. Vanessa Kirby steals the show with force as Princess Margaret. Also phenomenal "War" in Season 4, Emma Corrin as Diana was heartbreaking. It's a brilliant show with actors at the top of their game.

I have enjoyed the Crown but must say it shows accurately the treatment of Diana from the beginning, the Royals could never bring themselves to be against the foddering Charles & his horrible acts towards Diana so they automatically blamed the innocent Diana who only wanted her husband to be her one & only, but he threw her aside for "his Camillia"!

I thought the movie/series was very well done. Perhaps I am an admirer of Princess Diana however I felt the series presented Dianna in a poor light . Especially now that the many faults of other members of the royal family have recently come to light. Lastly, the real tragedy was the failure of the Queen to allow Charles to marry Camilla in the first place. If she had perhaps Dianna would still be alive today.

No, Margaret was never threatened bc she didn't need to be. Margaret was simply told what would happen if she went ahead and married Group Captain Townsend. Margaret considered the realities and facts, and obviously decided that she would not go ahead and marry him because she wouldn't (and likely couldn't) give up everything she would have had to forgo, should she had married a divorced man, which was, at the time, not allowed in COE. (And she was supposedly quite religious, as was the Queen, but those are private, personal matters one cannot judge). Margaret was smart not to give up her titles and allowance, along with having to live in exile, just for a man she likely would have divorced anyway!

I am not by any stretch saying that- for the most part- Emma Corrin did a fantastic job; but the engagement scene reminds me of a spider luring in her prey. I loved Emma's petformance and I love Diana even more, but that one scene was creepy. Emma should have played it as more ingenue and less Black Widow.

'The Crown' should reflect reality. Monarchy shouldn't be used as real-life soap opera. The achievement of the British monarchy should become clearer in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, and Scotland have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important reason. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace". Of course King Charles III's first marriage was a tragic mistake; Prince Philip could be tactless; he & Elizabeth II made mistakes with their children. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the unity the monarchy gives in the UK & the world. By stabilizing Britain & the commonwealth (e.g. Canada & Australia), it promotes peace in the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century; likewise over world war, loss of empire, economic failure, or race in the 20th. There will always be violence and political problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy and the stability it brings. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.
