No. Sure we’ll take the win, but that first half was deplorable. They ended up just wearing down a much weaker opponent, but this should have been a 45-3 type game, where ND dominated from the opening kickoff. I was shocked at what a terrible gameplan Denbrock had. In the first half it seemed like they motioned, & ran strong side on every running play. Terrible special teams, except the fg block by Bryce Young were atrocious. The D, holding them to 3 points was great. But they gave up way too many rushing yards between the 20’s. Keeping Gabbert in control was a good job by the pass D.

It starts and ends with the head coach. He made a very questionable decision bringing in Riley Leonard, and he just doesn’t have the temperament or decision making skills to be the Notre Dame head coach. To say before the game that his offense is going to take what Miami of Ohio’s defense gives him is disgraceful.

No he shouldn't. Rylie is better period. Angeli doesn't provide the same value. Yes he can throw it a little better, but he can't handle the pass rush like Rylie can. Rylie creates tremendous stress on defenses, because he so talented with his legs. The passing needs to improve and it will. Today although not perfect was a good step for the pass game.

The Rylie Leonard hate in some of these comments are clear example of some peoples ignorance when it comes to football and ability to recognize talent. He has all the physicals and ability. Accuracy and timing can all be fixed with enough practice and he is clearly improving in these areas allbeit not at the pace we all want, but by the end of the year he will be even more dangerous than he already is.

This ND team seems uncoached. Such a sloppy game. They have no consistency. There's no way to know from week to week which ND team we are getting. They often lack focus. In the Purdue game last week we saw what they are capable of but Marcus can't seem to pull it out of them on any regular basis.

He’s also a 21 year old kid playing with a new team, in a new system, with a young line that is revolving due to injury, with no spring ball, and coming off a surgery. Did you think he was going to come in here and throw 300 yards a game with 80+% accuracy when that has never been his game? Trust the people getting paid to make the decisions. No one wants to win more than them. Stop booing and slandering your own team and these young men. It’s going to take time to mesh and figure it out.
