That’s a really great price. Any magazine it looks that nice would be at least $7-10 here in America. And some of nicer woodworking magazines like I enjoy can be $15 or more and not very big. I used to get a lot of watchmakers catalogs when I was practicing and if you buy them off the shelf they can be at least $13 a piece each month

I wanted to be a watchmaker for a long time. It takes so much skill to design and craft these watches. To make a watch keep perfect time by only using some springs and gears is so amazing to me. Then you start adding in the complications like dates, moon phases, etc. And it's even more amazing. Keep in mind that most of these high end watches can't be messed produced. They're hand made by incredibly skilled professionals. That being said, would I pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a watch? Absolutely not. My absolute dream watch is a Grand Seiko Shunbun SBGA413, but even the thought of spending $5,000 on a watch seems a bit steep to me, even with the incredibly detailed dial and the spring drive second hand
