Cheers for the feedback my friend :) I've done a tutorial on the Fenix 6 Pro as well, and as it's still pretty close with the layout it might help you further :) They can pay me still, but to be honest, I only review things either that I own or have interest in, or if it's to warn viewers. I still prefer the bezel on the 5X Plus over the Fenix 6 Pro I have, not sure why they added those bumps to the 6 Pro, but doesn't look as nice, also the 5X Plus has screws for the straps, the 6Pro uses spring pins? I guess it allows for quicker strap replacements if it doesn't have the quick release?? Thanks again

Thank you for your kind feedback... yes, many hours of passion... I've also done a video testing the GPS using the Fenix 5X Plus. Still an amazing watch... I loaned mine to my Dad as he wanted to use it for his hikes and golfing... a few weeks later found that he never takes it off... so was forced to replace it with the Fenix 6 Pro... so if you have the Fenix 5X Plus already then you really won't profit much more just to add. So pleased my instructions worked. I don't know why Garmin changed the bezel on the 6 Pro, as I prefer the 5X Plus style. Thanks again

This guy's voice is a dead ringer for Jeremy Clarkson... I'm ready to buy a Rolex from him. I have this watch and I think the maps feature might have saved my life twice. Clarkson is about an hours drive from me, and as we are both tall it's a possibility we could sound a like... but I can tell you Clarkson isn't someone who can be on his own, he wouldn't be able to find his way to his fridge without a film crew to guide him.... saw him once in Switzerland and he was moaning his head off at someone about his coffee... doesn't look like a patient guy to me, as for me, I don't act very well, so what you see is how I perform behind a camera, making it clear as possible, I'm also dyslexic so have even more crap to endure with, but hey, I push forward and never moan about it... I've also been quoted to look like Gerard Butler, the fatter version LML :-P Buddy, I'm glad you made it out, but it's not entirly all the watch, you have your own instincts for navigation, and you're only a hero if you save someone not yourself only, that would be classed as lucky escape :-P Cheers... and I don't recommend BOLEX :-P

Excellent review, I have had this watch two years and thought I knew how to use it ! Clearly not..... I learnt a lot in the last hour. Just one point, the fitness zones you talk about are actually heart rate zones which are none, resting, aerobic, anaerobic, threshold and max. There is a completely different side to this watch if you use it for recording running, cycling, swimming etc. I use it for running mostly and the amount of information it gives me was baffling to start with but now I couldn't live with out it. The pulse oximeter and stress monitor are very clever features too.
@WatchUP69MrRangeman3 жыл бұрын
I also learn too from viewers and you're now another who's just covered the fitness zones... it's a watch for all activities and i'm pleased it's perfect for your needs... I'm just a navigational guy the most, but it does show the steps and calories that Mrs Rangeman is more into.... I've seen a few other activity watches, but I feel the Garmin's are more intuitive, would be nice if Garmin would give you an option to amend how things are shown like 'Automobile' making it 'Vehicles' instead, and there are a few others which I know is minor as you get used to it, but compared to how G-Shock define their word choices would make it flow easier between them both. I still think the 5X Plus has a better build design over the 6 Pro, especially with regards to the strap screws instead of spring pins used on the 6 Pro, and the smooth bezel, as the 6 Pro has these lumps around where the screws heads are. Cheers again my friend :))

Hey, what an amazing video! Again so amazingly detailed. I have just ordered an Fenix 5x plus and was debating between that and the Fenix 6x pro. The difference was £240 to get the sapphire edition in them both so in the end I went for the 5x plus. Would you say that is a good decision to say the huge difference in price. I really did want the sapphire and even without on the 6x pro it would have costed £160 more in my case.
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy... Did you see my unboxing video with my new Fenix 6 Pro comparing it to the Fenix 5X Plus? In that video I did say apart from the few differences the performance on the 5X Plus is the same. And with a difference of £160 you did well my friend. For the extra differences that doesn't match the extra money. The 5X Plus is still a flagship Garmin, they're still sold new and I've seen them around the £599 mark. You can't tell which is which with a glance on the wrist, and when I see another Fenix, I seem to get the model wrong, unless it's practically up my huge nostrils. I prefer the screw strap pins on the 5X Plus, as the 6 Pro uses spring pins, plus I like the bezel better on the 5X Plus. Now if my Father didn't like my Fenix 5X Plus I wouldn't of bought the 6Pro because I ended up giving it to him for his golfing and walks. Don't feel you got the underdog my friend as they both perform the same. Glad my video helps... I've done a few videos on the Garmin's, but one you should watch is when I test the Fenix 5X Plus vs Instinct vs GPR-B1000 GPS's in Lithuania, showing the differences of how they work. @WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
@@Saturn-iv4dj That's a good question... updates are still updating, but as the performance is still the same as the 6 Pro for an example, I would imagine there's many many years to come. The question of your first comment? If you find it at an incredible deal then very much so... but if new to the market then probably better with the newer 6's, simply because it's smaller yet has a tad bigger screen... I did an unboxing of my Fenix 6 Pro next to the Fenix 5X Plus, so maybe look at that video as I show the difference, also show a little of the performance and difference between functions and features. I don't know if a Fenix 7 is on the horizon, but I really don't see what the point would be, both the 5X Plus and 6 Pro are flagship GPS activity watches. What's you main purpose for these watches, maybe I can help further. Im a user of garmin fenix 3hr sapphire since 17, and i cant decide wether to upgrade to 5x plus or 6x sapphire. Is it worth spending more money to get 6x sapphire rather than 5x plus sapphire version?

Hey buddy... well I did make an late night unboxing video with the comparisons between the the F5X Plus and Fenix 6 Pro... so maybe watch that and hit me with a comment there after, or maybe it'll give you all you need to know. The 6X is a big watch just to add, and the Fenix 6 Pro on my 7.5" wrist fits perfectly. I've really bashed mine around, and apart from a few marks on the bezel screws, the rest looks new still. Chat soon :)

@@WatchUP69MrRangeman Thank you for answering. Well, im a field technician so i need a watch to be a sapphire cuz of its durability. Im from Croatia and there is literally a huge difference in prize of them. Fenix 5x plus sapphire is about 250 euros cheaper than 6x sapphire. So im generally inclining to buy 5x cuz of the prize. I was just wondering if there are some major improvements that would bug me.

@@BabyDoocks Hey buddy... in my unboxing video I do show the differences on the outside and some of the functions that are slightly different. Now the performance side in my opinion is no difference at all, the only slight benefit is the very slightly bigger display and the size overall. That’s a huge price difference, and the Fenix 5X Plus is still a very compatible Garmin still. They’re still being sold new, and even used seem to have a good price. Are you wanting new over used?

The official Garmin PDF for the Fenix 5 is complete trash. Shows you how to do nothing.
