This is really cute but be careful letting dogs play with balloons. When they burst they can break in to tiny pieces and a dog can accidentally swallow or inhale those pieces. If they get stuck in the windpipe, it’s almost impossible to get them out. Doing the Heimlich or similar just makes the balloon piece expand and lodge in place even more firmly, causing the dog to choke to death. There have also been cases of balloons popping very close to dogs’ faces and the force of the flying pieces of balloon hitting the dog in the eye and causing severe injury and blindness. Swallowing pieces can also cause obstructions which can be severe emergencies. I know it seems like harmless fun, but just be very careful. I wouldn’t do it often and pick up any pieces of balloon immediately. Also look at the pieces and be sure none are missing; that you have a complete balloon. Missing pieces could mean that your dog swallowed or inhaled a piece.

TheDiamondMaster You actually can. There’s usually a big piece making up most of the balloon, then you can use the smaller pieces to fill in the hole and check if there’s enough there to cover the hole in the balloon.
