Now I know what likes to visit me at night. I find at the most 3 of these water bugs in early morning upon their back dead. I first began to notice these Smoky Brown Roaches (waterbugs) this past winter when my roof began to leak. My attic was soaked with moisture. This problem has been taken care of, so now they are coming from the basement which is moist. So now I know what they like, and I am going to give them what they don't like. A dry non-living space. lol.... Thank you for the lesson.

I'm from Houston. I keep seeing these things especially outside, which outside is fine. My cat kills them if they try to come in which is rarely. He's my protector. Get a cat if they're getting inside your home. Otherwise try orthro home defense and go around your entire home outside (or do both). Wanted to add a dog does well too, I have a chihuahua that also gets rid of them. Luckily I've only see one or two a month inside my house. There's other pesticides you can buy and spray into all the cracks and crevices. Just make sure you read about the children/pet warnings.

Omg what do I do!!! We have lived here for 7 months now and honestly I never saw a bug in this house and I was sooo happy . Cut to two weeks ago. we start getting these tiny black beetles showing up at night only by my sink though in the kitchen . I do truly think those are beetles because they don’t look like the water bug roach. But then today I saw a big one by the little ones in the sink and it didn’t look like the little beetles . I really don’t know if it was a black roach or a different kind . Either way I am freaking out just the word roach scares me . I’m going to Lowe’s today to purchase anything and everything I can . I hate bugs so much . And I can deal with a couple small beetles but a black waterbug roach? Nope . They aren’t anywhere else in my house, not the pantry , and I keep my house clean and my cats food is kept in an airtight container . I don’t want this at all. I have never ever had a roach in any home I have ever lived in and if that was one I am definitely freaked out. Like I said it wasn’t like the roach pics I looked up online it was completely black and maybe 3/4 of an inch long .

Hi, I don't know if you answer questions or not but I have a scenario that I didn't see you mention. I have a bathroom sink I don't use cause it leaks wen I do. The other day after sanding the walls, redoing the bathroom, I used the hose from the vacuum and put it over the drain to pull out any dust, what I pulled out were two maybe three waterbugs. Freak city, again that faucet isn't used. Is there something you can pour down the drain, or hot water regularly? I have a heavy drain cover so they can't just waltz on out, but I'd love to eliminate them. If you have the time thanks.

@@jacktheriffermaskedguitari3037 large roaches are very commonly mistakenly called waterbugs. When you see a large roach it is what it is - a roach but a large one. That's it. Waterbugs, however, are aquatic insects that are larger than roaches and are very aggressive. They have pincers and inflict a very painful bite. Remember, roaches and waterbugs are different species and are not related.

Hey, I want to say that happened to me to, I live with my mom and my brother dad and sisters and I woke up a 4 am and I looked on my phone while the tv was on and ion know if it was a water bug or a cockroach but It was big and terrifying, we don't have bugs in our house it's only the cockroach or water bug that come in our house but I let my mom to kill it because it was to scary it was even on my wall because I was scared if it was going to fly or not but my mom killed it, I don't like cockroaches or water bugs it's terrifying and scary to kill I have phobia of them to!

I’m so disgusted I started deep cleaning my room because I saw one of these I finally found it an had to kill it my self with a napkin🤢 just in case it was a female roach and yes it popped so I’m lucky to have seen it. My bedroom is right next to a moist part of the house outside.

Killed it with a napkin? You are gangsta! I'm too scared to kill one with a hard item (shoe, textbook, what ever I can find, etc...)... a napkin, I would have passed out...lol. You Win!

I was on my phone chilling in my bed and all I saw were wings flapping towards to me in my peripheral. I got a pulled hamstring right now but none of that mattered Jesus restored my leg at that moment
