I do water change once a month . Fresh water and salt. Fresh tank had a lot of planets that help it filter out . And salt water is very basic filter socks and a lot of turbo snails 😂. Works for me everything is doing good and healthy

I started using bacteria and protein skimmer along with water changes.

Uv sterilizer, skimmer, ozone generator and no mech. filtration. Weekly water exchange.

I agree with you, hes saying it decomposes and releases the nitrates into the water when actually the detritus/food rolls up out of the water, hence no decomp

@@HeftyReefsthe waste collected on the roll has time to form into nitrate as this is a very fast process. Phosphate however takes longer to process therefore causing nutrient imbalances of high nitrate and low phosphate

Claude is not going against the grain as a demonstration of contrarianism, he is a professional coral farmer who happens to own the best seawater analysis laboratory.. when he comes out with such a statement it is based on some considerable experience.
