You do not see this very often, very cool! That's for sharing!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing, my ks3m's have been a headache because they are so hot and 1 hashboard failed, looks like a good solution

This is awesome. You could really get creative with liquid cooled. I could heat my garage during the winter and heat my pool during the summer with a liquid to liquid heat exchanger.
@BoneyardLabsАй бұрын
We did exactly that last winter! Though we aren't cool enough for a pool 🙃 our house was toasty though!
@jjsandersheliАй бұрын
@@BoneyardLabs Its an above ground pool so not that cool. lol. Did you move the cooling radiator into your house? With some extra tubing I guess you could place the radiator practically anywhere assuming it doesn't need 220V/30A.

@jjsandersheli I have since removed this setup. We are moving. The liquid cooling system worked too well, actually. They cooled the chips lower than optimum operating temp which is around 70-80. We were using a rad that was designed for 3 asics even though we only had two hooked up, so we couldn't turn it low enough sometimes to keep the temps in range since half the fans were automatic speed based on coolant temps. The other downside we ran into was bio contaminants. We added biocide, but the lines would still discolor over time. We never perfected the coolant. We had a makeup vent leading into the house essentially.

The airflow temp chart is awesome!

Thanks! It took forever to figure out which chip number on the temp monitor was which physical chip on the board. But once I figured it out, the heat map finally made logical sense.

That's an awesome setup. I run an air filter on my units but i really like this liquid cool setup you did. The 12kw kit includes everything except the water, biocide, T junctions, and ball valves?

Great video man! Looks like an interesting and viable alternative to the shroud kits. My setup I'm exhausting the hot air directly outside. How are the ambient temps in the garage after the install?

I saw this a month ago and i really thought about it and i order the fog hashing for 2 miner not sure what's the best option but I'm glad you did this video i haven't see one that explains everything in a month will see how the fog works for me

Niiiiicccee! I'd LOVE to have a foghash machine, but the cost was a lot more than this setup after import, duties, shipping, taxes. Foghash is super cool though!
@jafuentes898 ай бұрын
@BoneyardLabs i was able to chat with them and they told me import tax and duties are included and yes the shipping is a bit high but i got the one for 2 miner for plus the liquid total of 2850 but i negotiate to 2400 total so hopefully it works out

I am trying to get fog hashing to design me a geothermal cooling solution for my ny warehouse. so far not responsive. I asked for an immediate 6 unit test to be se nt to try. then ip will order 1.2mw for the next phase. I'm thinking I will have to engineer my own geothermal closed loop system with my plumber. I am a seasoned landscape contractor asic hosting $200k in miners in texas and Nebraska. do you have any ideas?

I've met fog hashing at empower houston and mining disrupt miami 2024. very friendly and they want to make a simple sale real bad. I'm looking for something special from them and it does not seems to be working.

can use radiator coolant liquid?
@ericmol26145 ай бұрын
just to throw this out there as an inventor into efficiency i wonder if you can use or invent a coolant similar to car engine coolant. Or something that is a liquid but cooler and gets cooler than qwater.

thanks for this great informative video i do have a question though, are you overclocking yours? i just purchased the ks5l kit from zeus and hoping it will allow me to OC safely but i realised after reading stuff in the ks0ultra ocs that mosfets also get hot and i dont know if the blocks cool the mosfets on the 5l or just the flowing air from the fan
@BoneyardLabs5 ай бұрын
Nice! I haven't done any overclocking. I don't know about the ks5l since I don't have one in hand. The blocks are only contacting the chips, but it would be interesting to see how much heat is sucked out of the rest of the board because these cooling systems are so effective at temp control.
