In Spain my drone fell into a water hazard on a golf course. A gust of wind made the curve that I flew wider than planned and a tree slowed the flight. It took me 5-10 minutes to find the drone in the muddy water.
In this clip I show several steps that ultimately led to the drone working again. For now, at least.
A battery no longer works (and according to the DJI instructions it should never be used again) and the mini SD card was erased by the water or in some other way.
0:00 Start;
1:33 - bath in alcohol;
7:22 - attempt + error messages;
10:03 - more dirt + errors + cleaning + unscrewing the drone;
18:13 - cooling fan works again but gimbal warning;
18:55 - drone works again, calibration, conclusion.
Location of the crash: Alicante Golf Club - • Alicante Golf Course (...
In this clip here, filmed about a week after the repair, you can see that the drone is working perfectly; I didn't even need to use the "tilt-trick" when turning on the drone; everything works fine: • Golfclub Worms (am Rhein)
Drone: Mavic Pro Platinum

Hi - I’m Gregor Heinrich. Welcome to my "Golf & Tesla" channel.
The channel offers informative and entertaining videos on topics such as golf courses, my Tesla car, golf equipment, course VLOGs, occasional equipment reviews etc.
As to "Tesla”: you can also see reports on Supercharger stations I come across.
For both the golf courses as well as the Supercharger reviews I often use a DJI Mavic drone.
So if you are neither a fan of golf nor of Tesla, you can still enjoy the playlist "drone footage" on my channel or better, visit my travel destinations channel @gregorscapades
