Water Damage Inside Trunk BMW e60

This is a BMW e60 first generation (Non LCI ) with a common problem Water inside the trunk , I have seen and repair tens of this cars with this problems ,and I'm sure that this will not be the last one.

Hello, I wonder if you could help me. I have cornering lights failure error on my e60, after some water damage on the electrical parts under the left side headlight. I changed them with used one but the error is still on ( now i have working lights but they are not moving left or right). What should I do to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I guess Kids or someone mistakenly press the trunk button in remote and trunk opens by it self in E60’s and left in rainy overnight. Good job Ovidiu

Hi mate love your videos Been watching a few of them, I don’t know where to start I’m having issues where the car not starting , no lights on dash New battery fitted Swimming pool of Water behind driver seat It was sat around for a month, I got it jump started but couldn’t turn it the car off a even with the key out!! I disconnected negative still wouldn’t turn off - i did end up taking out ignition switch fuse out fuse (7) to cut the engine off. The car wouldn’t start again tested all the fuse they were fine so got a new battery was super low 3.6v Fitted the battery but the bastard won’t start- other lights turn on though. Any help where I should start first any help would be amazing Forgot to add its was coming up with ignition faulty when the car wouldn’t turn off so I I’m guessing it’s that, but wanted to check with u first unless it could be a relay or something that at fault or a bad module

Ovidiu Hi Great video I had exactly the same problem on my E60 2008. I bought a new module My problem was also the female connector which was connect to the module Sold the car Bad location under the spare tire Great job

I relocated these modules into the space behind the rear left panel in the boot space. The cables are long enough to reach and it keeps them well away from any future risk of water damage. I have no idea why the modules are located where they are on the E60.

Hello Water got into the trunk of my car and its battery continues to die until the morning. The cable inside the spare tire is green and oxidized. Could the battery be draining due to this part? Auto bmw 5.30 2006 year

Buenos días tengo un Bmw series 5 e60 530i 2006 el carro prende bien Pero tenía una batería mala y cuando abría la puerta en el tablero salía una luz mamey y cuando cerraba la puerta sonaba un sonido chiiiiiii y el tablero no funciona nada y los parabrisas el radio y la luz baja ni la altas no prende. pero el cuarto de luz si prende

da, la e61 e problema cu scurgerile de pe spate. Eu am scos chestiile alea din capul furtunului pentru ca obturau prea mult.

Rolul acelei valve e sa impiedice circulatia aerului pentru zgomot ( in timpul mersului ) si sa impiedice insectele sa nu intre in canalul de scurgere sa se cuibareasca acolo , cu ele scoase e posibil sa se auda zgomotul vantului ''suierat'' mai tare in habitaclu, mai ales daca parasolarul trapei e deschis !

excellent job however this car is clearly neglected by its owner, absolutely filthy there's no excuse for the mess in that trunk. at this point it is mandatory to replace the broken vents those rubbers are long gone and the dust and junk already taking over the harness relays plugs allover battery area and most likely the left side is pretty much the same. I think the rear bumper has to go out to replace those. Yet, shouldn't be some drain plugs in the spare wheel compartment?

The video is not about the car but as you can clearly see it's very neglected, normally you need to remove the bumper for the vents but I'm not sure I think it can be done from inside , and about the drains no, no vehicle is equipped with that , yes you can find plastic plugs that you can remove ant improvised a drain , but the purpose of them is purely for the build processes in the car factory.
