12:30 - and there's that the buggy is so light that it doesn't push down on the tyres enough to get as much grip as they could generate. Scrubbing that top layer off is the same in oval track, road course, all the way up to Formula 1.

I’m running those same 42” SX II’s in the competition compound and to say they’re soft is an understatement. Interco has been basically buying them back because they’re so soft that rigs with any horsepower are shredding them. That orange buggy sounds like it might have 100hp along with a bad wrist pin or rod bearing so spinning them tires too much isn’t likely to happen..lol. You guys are gonna have to ditch the Bilstein wrap now that your team ADS.

The orange buggy sounds like an old gas forklift, which judging from the LPG bottle may not be too far from the truth 🤣

We haven't had to buy back any SXII Comps tires. Some individuals who were unfamiliar with using soft and sticky tires did tear some up because they didn't know how to use them, and broke them in incorrectly. We worked with those customers as a courtesy only. That's how we treat our customers. Other than a coupkl of users, the vast majority of people, including the novice in this video, can use them without any issue. Soft and sticky tiresfunction better than high horsepower muscle, and low PSI water filled tires. Unlike a DOT tire that needs lower psi to flex and grip, a sticky needs downward force. A tire wired to low, and then "juiced" or "sent" will roll the lug over, and over torque it. Damage caused to a tire like this -is user error and not the tires construction. If someone is not familiar with the true competition compound, they probably should stick to the DOT models. We believe that the tires you choose should match the capabilities of your vehicle, the trail you are running on, and the knowledge of the person driving. This tire seen in the video is available in both a COMP and DOT version.

@neilkirkes10 ай бұрын
Kevin, you weren’t wrong about it binding up. I could see the binding of the drivetrain. The buggy was just strong enough to overcome it. Be very careful street driving with water in the tires. Half full is dangerous for emergency braking. It sloshes and acts like a dead blow hammer and will push you forward. 90% full of water is less sketchy, but you better have your brakes dialed to the max. No manual brakes!
@LiteBrite10 ай бұрын
The road I’d drive on is only about a .5 mile stretch, just to get to the rocks (and under 40 mph).
@neilkirkes10 ай бұрын
@@LiteBriteJust be careful, because I’ve done it and it was an no go, for me. Under 20 is more realistic. And for the love of hay Zeus, get a booster of any kind. Or Britney is going to look like a meme of a girl that only works out on leg day.

@masterflashtheone171510 ай бұрын
I thought a smaller master will result in higher line pressures, but less fluid moved. So you've decreased brake line pressure by increasing master cylinder size. I think you want to go down to something like a 3/4" master cylinder...
@_DutchFox_10 ай бұрын
those new tires are maybe good compound, but the thread is not good for rock climbing. The knobs are way too high, with too less rubber actually in contact with the underground. This is more a tire for mudding how it is now.
@IntercoTireCorp9 ай бұрын
In the video, you can see the SXII tire which has the same pattern as the number one off-road and rock bouncing tire in the world, the 43" SX. The only difference between the 42" SXII and the 43" SX is where they are made and the pre-grooved center lugs. The Comp Compound on these tires is slightly softer than that of the 43" SX Sticky. The 43 outperforms all other sticky comp tires on the market, but you don't see them often because we refuse to pay for exposure or give them away for free like some other well-known name brands (have) to do. We believe both tires are excellent for rock crawling as well as trail and mud.
