Good day Sir. I have been looking for you for a long time, that is, I was looking for a real South African who can teach me how to make real watermelon Konfyt! At last I have found you. My Grandmother used to make this on her farm in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) in the 50's and I loved it so I am going to have a go. Thank you for sharing and for your friendly smile. 😊

The one thing I wanted to say was I noticed from watching canning videos, that the jars have to be sterilized first by boiling for 10 minutes and if you are storing then in a cupboard then you may have to do more boiling. I've never done this but I did watch a video or two. Just wanted to share

Was my Mom's favourite. Who ever went to Cape Town had to come back with a tub of konfyt for her. Before she passed away it was a can't get. Friends went places looking for it. Well now I'll eat it for her cos I'm gona make it when watermelons season comes back. Yum!!! . Thank you for sharing the recipe.
