It's a great option for places with really crappy water - if you need the volume of water. It might be more practical for backpackers to have a version of this that is half the size. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the very detailed review. I could see this as an emergency kit for sure. Not real clear about how many times a bag can be reused. The $45 kit includes 12 packets but will the charcoal filter hold up for that many treats?
