Will a 2 story buliding take a load of 7k ltr overhead concrete water tank? Column size 10×10 in, steel bars 4×20 mm nd 2 ×16 mm. Concrete grade m25. It has 2 slabs nd beams of 12 ×10 inch with same reinforcements as columns? Columns are at distance 11×8 ft.

If u will use the ratio 1:2:4 and the thickness is 6" Then the cements =155 bags Sand=388cft Aggregate=776cft

Volume= 921.375 cft , 1cft= 28.7 litre 921.373 × 28.7 = 26443.46 Litres. 26443.46 ÷ 3.785 = 6986.38 Gallons

Dear sir salam.i m going to construct an over head water tank for my family consisting of 16 members, so pleas ģuide me in a simple way the length breath and height in feet and prevention of leakage and use of steel in the walls and about the thickness of the surrounding wall weather 9 inches or 4 and a half inch and that weather steel is required in the surrounding walls...Regards

W.salam The minimum size of water tank for 16 members: internal size. 5'x5'x4'=2831 Litres The wall thickness 9" and provide 9"x9" columns in each corners. and provide minimum 12mm steel bar 4 bars in each columns.
