You would need to make a lot more corrections to this biased and ahistorical and very amateur video ( For civility I refrain from using the word "ignorant" here). You keep making misleading comments and leaving out important details. First Israel declared its independence based on a division of the balance of the Mandate for Palestine territory agreed on by the League Of Nations after the British had ceded the lands east of the river Jordan to become the state of Jordan . You deviously forgot to mention that the Palestinians Arabs turned down the agreement to share the lands and instead conspired with five surrounding Arab/Muslim states to attack Israel in 1948 with the intention of wiping out "The Jews ". As the Secretary Of The Arab League ( Twenty Arab States ) said before attacking Israel in 1948 " This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre like the Mongol massacres and the Crusades". You also wrong in declaring that 700,000 fled or were forced from their homes. According to reputable historians at least a third of those who fled were encouraged to leave their homes for safety by the attacking Arab states who convinced them that the war would be over and won in a short time and they could then return to their homes and seize Jewish lands. The " Nakba" according to many historians refers to the great shame felt by the Arab armies who lost the war in spite of vastly superior numbers and not as you so confidently describe it.

The "Nakba" does not mean only catastrophe in terms of some Palestinians loosing their lands. It is the grieving of the Arabs to fail in their bid to eradicate the newly fledged state of Israel and eradicate all the Jews. One important and one small correction: Important one first - before Israel took over the Golan heights Syrian artillery bombarded the Israeli valleys, but you forgot to mention that they specifically targeted civilians - kibbutzim, farmers, fishing boats in the Sea of Galilee, etc. That is why most of the roads in the valley are lined with tall eucalyptus trees - to make it harder for the Syrians to see their targets driving along the roads. And the small one - at minute 33:36 you said Syria took hold of 2/3 of the Golan and held them ever since - that was Israel, not Syria (I see this as a typo) Otherwise this is an amazing video and incredible research! Very well done!

Very well done documentary. The unrest in Syria in 2011 was also due to water. A combination of a prolonged drought and criminal mismanagement of water resources left large swaths of Syrian rural areas destitute. In was these "water refugees" in Syria's arid south that began the open revolt against the regime. Ironically, Israel now supplies significant amounts of desalinated water to Jordan and hopefully will do the same with Syria once the new regime decides it is better off with Israel as a friend and not an enemy.

The only suggestion I would make to you for a future longer version of this video would be to go further back in history to the Ottoman Empire’s rule of this region, including WW1, through to 1948. In other words, add more historical context, which explains a lot of the conflicts, instead of beginning in the mid 20the century, after the conflicts had already festered. So here is the history. It was owned by Syria. Syria pummeled the Israelis (on behalf of the PLO) with rockets aimed at civilian homes in the galil using the golan hights as key strategic point with aggravated assault in a surprise attack in 1967. Israel responded by leading a ground counter offensive and captured the land from their enemies in the span of 6 days. Now it belongs to Israel. They started a war. They lost the war. They used the land. They lost the land. A basic law of war followed by EVERY instance of national war in all of history. It’s not occupied, it was captured and was LEGALLY enexed.

No historical and archeological proof either can support the fallacies written in the Quran, which contradict the very basis which the Quran is using to authenticate itself (the Quran points to the People of the Book - the Old and New Testament). But then the Quran denies the atonement from sins by blood, explained in Leviticus, and it denies also the very message of Salvation through Jesus. No, it's disputed. Israel held the Golan now for twice as long as Syria had. Even the majority of Druze these days prefer to stay in Israel. Druze in Syria proper also asked to be annexed by Israel a few weeks ago.

Operation Nickel Grass did not help israel reconquer the golan, it started too late and the vast majority of what was air lifted did not see service in the yom kippur war. the US only started supplying this crucial equipment two weeks after israel was attacked and only after israel overtly suggested it would use nuclear weapons. another important point is the european nazis had an embargo on israel at the time but not only would they not sell weapons to israel to defend itself after using israel in their proxy war in 1956, they also DID NOT ALLOW US PLANES TO LAND FOR REFUELING, this was only solved thanks to portugal who allowed us planes to land for refueling.

I haven't looked into the legitimacy of Syria as an independent entity post ottoman but pre-assad. They certainly joined in on the multi-front anti-israel attack upon the establishment of the Jewish state. The 1967 tank battles are still studied at West point.
