I know this isn't my usual style but I was testing filming with my phone and editing on my new MAC Book. Let me know in the comments what you thought about the video quality! #KeepItPlanted #ThePlantedTank #Aquascaping

Very nice! The last time I tried the fluorite as a base layer it turned into a brick on me. Now I’ve been using it as a really thin layer under the substrate.
@LuckAqua2 жыл бұрын
I usually use fertiliser as the first thick layer and then cover on the top with sand or gravel as the second layer. That works really well for me.

I'm glad to see a video from you again. But one question why so much substrate? Lol
@ThePlantedTankTV2 жыл бұрын
Three reasons. lol I'm testing to see how the layering of seachem fluorite and fluvial startup works out. Two those Amazon Swords compacts are big floaters if you don't have enough substrate. Three the tank is very small there's actually only 2.5" of substrate. Just looks like a lot in this small tank. lol

Thick substrate some how could bring benifical bacteria and reduce the number of time for changing water.

video quality seems pretty good on my end...how did you like the MAC editing? That is some thick substrate! What did you put down first? I have wanted to do something similar but with the 'aqua soil' as the bottom layer then capping it with Seachem Flourite.
@ThePlantedTankTV2 жыл бұрын
Seachem Flourite is often used as a base layer so I thought I'd give it a go! I'm not very used to MAC Computers or laptops but I really enjoyed it. It was definitely a good experience!
@LuckAqua2 жыл бұрын
I did similar as you due to the fact that flourite could slow down the nutrition extract process and keep the whole tank healthy.

Still super busy with work I see! Thanks for taking the time to post something man always good to see something from you! Maybe sometime you could do an update on your tanks? How many do you have running at the moment?

I am very busy with work. I’ll actually be in Florida for the whole winter. I only have two going right now. This one and my multi tank.
