Very nice haul! A tube squeezer is one of those things that you didn't know you needed, but can't live without once you get used to it, lol!

Thanks for letting us all share in the unwrapping/unboxing of the supplies. Although lots of your projects etc are on hold at the moment while you recover from the surgery, it seems that you won't be short of ideas (or supplies!) once things start to get back to normal for you. I think you said recently that you'll be starting physio soon and hopefully you'll quickly notice incremental improvements in your shoulder's mobility and strength. Best wishes, Brian.

Hullo Amy, I love the Aqua Elite brushes from Princeton. I have stopped using Dan Smith products. I find DaVinci Paints as good, in some cases better than Dan Smith! Professional grade and much less cost too! Schmincke products are top of the line, but so expensive here in the USA. I did get a great deal on a full set of soft pastels of Schmincke sticks. They were used and some were broke, but every piece was usable!!

So glad you are looking better and better with each video! Loved the haul! I also use Princeton Neptune & Aqua Elite-my two fave! The Aqua Elite is a synthetic kolinsky. So glad to see another one of my favorite KZbinrs using synthetic brushes. I recently was really disappointed seeing that another one I used to love uses real hair and made a very hypocritical and rude reply to people who were commenting about the real hair. She claimed to hate all cruelty in products that use animals, said people need to shop responsibly, but she was going to use the real hair anyway 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just feel that artists who claim to love animals and nature but profess their love for real hair brushes are hypocritical. I can understand that some artists bought real hair without knowing the cruelty behind them, but once ppl know the cruelty they are hypocritical when continuing to buy more and professing love for both. Anyway, thanks for another great video!

I do like them, but they don't use as many lightfast pigments as other companies do. How is looking at them the other day in was a little bit disappointed in how many of them were not rated as high as I would like. they perform really well otherwise.

The Princeton aqua elite are my current favorite for almost everything except fine detail. For that I still like the Princeton Neptune better because it holds more so less trips to reload. I'm currently testing the silver whites too and they are almost as good as the aqua elites but not quite! Thanks for watching!

OMG The Neptune and the Aqua elite are both my favorite watercolor brushes of all time! The Neptune if you want bristles that mimic squirrel hair and the Aqua Elite if you want bristles that mimic the more springy Kolinsky sable. Yes there are other great brushes out there, maybe even some that I would love more than those, but I cannot justify the price, lol! Especially when they aren't even real animal fur! I would love to see what Amy thinks of them!

I’m not too under the sure if I understand what you’re doing with your non-granulated transparent palette, but I do know that many people use senniler watercolours because of their non-granulation in general and their transparency in almost all colours
@winterwoodsstudio
@winterwoodsstudio 2 ай бұрын
I like to work in a lot of layers and lately I've been trying to achieve a very specific effect where the colors are all very clear and the white of the paper is clearly reflecting back light through layers of very clear watercolor. Even the semi opaque watercolors will affect that I've found. I'm really enjoying building layers of glazing with the clear colorsand olaying with how each glaze effects the layers if xolor underneath. I'm mostly working on hot press paper right now and am not going for flowing effects or a lot of wet into wet, and definitely no granulating right now! I'm having a lot of fun! Thanks for watching!

@@winterwoodsstudio I’m really glad you’re enjoying yourself and hoping you’re recovering well to. I’ve watched a lot of professionals and a lot of botanical artists that like to do layers and like to use very transparent watercolours they either use Windsor and newton and or the one I see most frequently is the senniler brand of watercolours. I hear it come up all the time for people that like non-granulating, controlled watercolours that are transparent and excellent for layering. I am not an expert, just some tips that I’ve picked up along the way that I thought I would share. I have to take my hat off to you. I had a very rough surgery like yourself on my shoulder and although I was moving quicker than anyone else and came off painkillers a lot faster I did need and did take painkillers. I’m also a chronic pain suffering, and I know what my life was like when I tried to go without medication, I know it’s a hard road know you have lots of love and support and prayers all around the world being sent to you. You are definitely in mine. Take time to rest and heal.

You have an insane number of art hauls. Someone said collecting art supplies can become it's own hobby and maybe that's what's happening here? It makes me sad because you're an amazing artist. I would love to actually see you create art. I thought you weren't creating because of your arm but even your past videos are hauls. When are you using these supplies? There's this KZbinr who buys storage units and people's estates and she just bought all the art supplies of this woman in her 80s who's being moved into a care facility. The art supplies filled a room and most had never been used. Your channel, your life, do you, but hoarding disorder is seriously increasing, people are not OK, and videos like these, with just stuff that's never used, will probable never be used, is contributing to impulsive spending, financial difficulties, and mental health challenges.

I prefimed a bunch of art hauls when the tendens n my shoulder tore, and put them up so that I had content to put up while I was recovering from my surgery and in a immobilization device.also, that's how I make money on this channel, by taking on sponsored art hauls. This is my business to feed my children and pay my bills. I understand your concern but I'm going to put my family's well-being first.
