Introduce sablebrush and resablebrush At first, Sablebrush is based on animal fibers , especially used kolinsky's On the other hand Resablebrush was maked animal fibers + artificial fiber When you paint picture on the paper, Sablebrush tend to include more colorpaints than Resable. And more soft. therefore not easy to paint sequence of brushing move. I think that my English skill is cheap. I can't convey well but I'm Happy to help viewer understanding Please revise my comment more useful English Sorry😭

Shibasaki teacher reccomend Resablebrush. Because Brush is the expendables. So you exchange it. oapproximately Resable's 20$ Sable'smore expensive. Also Shibasaki teacher paint all picture using Resable's 英語の上手な方 追記編集お願いします😭
thank you for this! I was actually really hoping you would post a video about brushes one day :D

My Japanese is very limited but here is how I understood it: First he separates the flat brushes and the brushes where it's not very snappy or doesn't go back to original shape. He removes the small brush because it will take forever to work with it and get tiring. Around 4:00 to 6:30 he starts comparing sable vs new sable brushes. I think he is also comparing 100% animal hair vs not 100% animal hair, and how 100% animal hair is so soft that it's not very snappy, but I don't fully understand. In the demo, he shows the difference between sable and new resable. The flat, pointy tip sable brush presents 2 problems: (1) it collects paint in some areas, (2) if you didn't want it to gather paint you'd have to press down harder but then it bends and becomes slower to work with. Meanwhile the new resable at 10:00 won't bend and won't gather paint. At 12:30 he says Kolinsky (right side) is very expensive while the Holbein on the left was 2000 yen and easier to replace if you had to. Feel free to correct if my interpretation is wrong :)

uta arthemysia I would like to know that too. Also what prep he does. Such as: Does he tape down his work? And if so, what kind of tape? Does he pre wet his paper? Does he prefer to paint on paper on an easel or parallel to the ground?

Self explanatory even without subtitles, fast forward to the examples and you’ll be able to figure out what it’s all about, I don’t understand Japanese but I’m so grateful for these videos that language is a minor problem.

Merci pour votre solution même si la traduction reste approximative, mais cela aide bien !!
As with so many other comments どうぞ, どうぞ, どうぞ (please) could you do English subtitles for this brushes video. I now have a fair range of brushes that match many of your own, would really appreciate your wise words on their use.
