I also would find it helpful if you could list the specific colors you're using for each tutorial. I tried several blues and greens but could not seem to get anywhere near the shade of ocean water you did. Even with adding white. I loved the tutorial! You make it look so easy! Mine was a bit of a mess, but I look forward to continuing to learn from you. :)

Totally!!! That is a great idea to include in my descriptions! :) For this tutorial I used Cerulean Blue and Sap Green along with white! My thought is to start using the Prang watercolor palette (seen in my Tulip Tutorial), that way it would easier to follow my colors, since there are so many different tube watercolors out there!

@@watercolorwithemily Thank you! This is very helpful. I had Cerulean Blue but my greens were quite different. As a beginner, I don't know how to mix and make colors yet so it's good to have some specific guidance until I get braver! I'm looking forward to completing all of your tutorials!

@@adktrailinn5971 Aw well thank you for taking my tutorials!! I am newer to teaching, so I hope to make better and better videos as time goes on! If you haven't seen my intro to watercolors video yet, I do briefly go through mixing colors :)

Thank you for doing these videos. I am semi new to water color and just learned a lot from you. I was wondering when you have an off size paper you use like 7x10 how do you mat or find a frame for the originals? Or 9x12 paper. I realized after the size is hard to frame.

Thank you so much, I am so glad you are learning from these videos, and to be honest i'm still learning how to teach so i'm excited to continue to make videos an learn as I go :) As for size, I normally try to stick with fairly common sizes, such as 5x7 inch, 6x8 inch, 8x10 inch, and 9x12 inch. I have a paper cutter that helps me easily cut my paper to any of these sizes, I have the product linked in my Watercolor Essentials list! www.amazon.com/shop/watercolor.with.emily/list/343M0UCBKEJA2?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d

Aw thank you so much!! I use the Windsor and Newton paints a lot, which I have linked in that description! I don't use one particular color a lot, however I do mix white with a lot of the colors to achieve the more calming look :) Hope that helps!
