Nice. I love it. I will def get some tissue paper that bleeds. That is a great beginning for an acrylic abstract. Thank-you for sharing your creativity.

I remember doing this as a child (I ‘m 62) but had forgotten about it. Thank you for this! I’m thinking I may add this to a charcoal portrait.

@Casual_art Yes It's a subtle but cool effect. I would spray your charcoal drawing with some workable fixative to prevent smearing!!!

Thank you for the inspiration! This looks super cool. I bought the same tissue paper from Dick Blick a couple of months ago because I love using crumpled tissue to create texture in my collage sketchbook. I expected it to bleed much more than it did just from the matte medium I used, and I was a little disappointed - I didn't realize it needed to be so saturated. I'm definitely going to pull it out today and experiment. I actually love the way your semi-dried tissue looked when you pulled it off... I'm thinking I could try your bleeding technique on paper, then give the tissue a second life by gluing it into my book.

@wendysmith6650 I am so happy this video gave you some clarity. And I love your thoughts about reusing the tissue after it dries up I usually throw them out but you are right the scraps would make excellent design elements for collage. Thanks for sharing!!!

Beautiful, Steve! I am looking forward to trying it and using it for multi media projects. What do you like to use it for?
@MindYourNewness5 күн бұрын
@fetchingpurls1097 I love using these as backgrounds for portrait paintings they have so much depth. Also like cutting them up using the in collages which i honestly only did once because the look so good!!!
