That’s a pretty blue bonnet, and this from a lady who has a profusion of blue bonnets in her front hard, and has had them for years. The bits of purple are more authentic. By the way, blue bonnets are not quite as tall. This self propagating flower covers fields and fields of Texas and front yards like mine. We also have pink"bonnets" that are pretty, but give me the blue/purple ones any day. My blue bonnets are followed by gorgeous zinnias that also steal the show with their gorgeous colors! Here it is 1st of September and the zinnias are still going by 1 October our petunias must be planted and we will have gorgeous pots to admire😂😊 for Christmas. Who🎉🎉🎉who am I too argue with my Mother who would have been one hundred nineteen years old? That’s a lost of petunias, Mrs.Z!!

Lovely flower ❤ I have that light wish journal, it’s supposed to wrap around but how you have it seems to work fine too 😊. It’s supposed to be cold press and I have used it for a couple of paintings and it has held up ok. One side is textured and the other smooth. I turned mine all around to the textured side.

YES! Interesting isnt it, I did the same after I used a few times. I am not a fan of hot press, although use it occasionally to play. It dried for me very quickly, but loving having a little journal to carry with me, as I ALWAYS have my paints with me because I Just never know when I m ight see sometihng that grabs me and i just have to paint lol. Very pretty painting. It is a species of lupine that is found in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and some states in Mexico. It looks a lot like the lupine native to Virginia.

Hi Debbie 👋 I just bought this Paul Runban floral palette 🎨. I think it's awesome!! Mostly single pigments. I love the olive green!! It looks so much like nature. One color I don't like is the pains grey and the really light green. I couldn't figure out why they didn't put a Dex purple and so many browns?? I love the one brown the last one in the palette but the other 2 do mix well with others. I love the blue your using. I think it is a French ultramarine. Beautiful. Yeah those leaves are weird on that plant 🪴 oh well 😂. Pretty plant. Have a great weekend labor day!! JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸

I'm glad you got the Floral Palette I do love all the colors, and you are right lots of single pigments which is good to avoid the "mud" Oh I LOVE that light green lol. It reminds me of the yellow green in the MeiLiang palette. It is definately a unique palette of colors! I hope you have lots of fun with it, and today is filled with lots of fun paintings friend. Have a great weekend too. No plans ere but to paint and go the the Botanical Gardens, my favorite place to go!

Debbie, you talk about going to the Botannical gardens which we dont have here, but had a bright idea while at Home Depot and took some pictures of some beautiful flowers in their garden center for future paintings.oh dear I think Im getting obseesed 😉 Also I received notification of you brushes on the 13th, cant wait to paint with them🎉

Hi Kim, That works too, I'm constantly stopping when I see flowers anywhere., its almost overwhelm at the botanical gardens! I take photos wherever I am, and constantly notice flowers, on the road, at restaurants, at friends houses, Everyone knows when and if they drive with me, if I see a beautiful flower, im pulling over , hopping out of my car and taking a photo! lol,, I stop for flowers I say!

@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy you need a license plate holder that says "I stop for flowers"😊 I love that we artists look at everything different. I look at shapes, colors, shading of the mountains etc differently since I started painting years ago..I certainly pay more attention to the sky, the clouds and scenery since painting. It's very rewarding for sure🥰
