Hi aartie, After our emails, here am I again !! I've been using Mellow Days for a few years, which is really practical as their company is located a few hundreds kilometers away from my house !! Simon and Cynthia are literally adorable, very accessible and I don't use any other journal ever since I discovered theirs which had been recommended my Charizze in the Philippines ! I use them with watercolor and acrylic paints. I am not as skilled with gouache which I find more difficult to correctly blend. I love how the colors are vibrant and I use it also with a sepia fountain pen (it took me a while to find the right one, though). Next notebook to try is yours and I am still figuring out how to place my order along with some other flat items to avoid paying crazy taxes here while not make you lose money !!

What a beautiful journal!!🧡 I would get try to be a little light handed with your felt tip markers, aka fine liners and brush pens, because I've ruined maaaany micron pens using them on watercolor paper.😬

Thank you for this review. I sometimes paint with water colors in my bullet journal.. it’s ok for the little thing I do but I prefer less buckling. Thanks for the review on an alternative.

So happy to see you painting, you did a Beautiful job with all techniques!! gouache is a struggle for me too! But I took a course and I can definitely say that the best you can do is to practice!! :)

where did you take a course! i watched some youtube videos on it and they said it definitely is a tricky medium because the already applied paint could actually get reactivated with water! i didn't know this when i painted my picture lol

@@leelajournals there’s a site like Skillshare, but you pay courses individually. The one I took is with a teacher named Alinailustra but there are thousands more, some are in English, some have subtitles. I still struggle with the reactivating issue! 😅 but we’ll get there! Practice masked perfect! 😎

which journal did you get! i often see a lot of people use gouache in their journals but with hardly any water and it works :)
