I am not a native English speaking person.... so let me just say a big WOW. Your channel was supposed to me and at first I watched your studies of clouds. From the very first moment I have been fascinated. And I watched more ... and ... more... and then I have watched them all and feeling a bit sad. Your paintings are wonderful. I normally prefer a looser style, but I really have to give your style a try. Besides that, you have such a nice kind to speak, explain and even talk about your ... well errors is the wrong word... I hope you know what I want to express. PLEASE do not stop letting us being a part of your studies! It‘s hard to wait for the next one. You are already a great artist! Fascinated greetings from Germany💕

I’ve been thinking about your comment for the past few days, and I really appreciate you for writing this! I am in school right now, and that has left no time for making videos and paintings. I plan on posting more in the future, but I don’t think it will be anytime soon. Maybe spring break? I’m happy you like my art and videos so much, people like you are the reason why I make them!

This process was inspiring. I'm still getting used to the layering approach required in watercolors - when you did your blue block-in of your boats, I was very puzzled, but clearly you knew exactly what you were doing. Hope I can apply some of these ideas to my own paintings!
@noellecurtisart
@noellecurtisart 4 жыл бұрын
I’m sure the blue block-in is a bit odd! It’s one of those things that look weird in the middle of the process, but eventually makes perfect sense later. Suddenly, the blue boats turn white! I’m glad you liked my video, and I wish you well in your watercolor journey!

Noelle your work is impeccable! So many perfect 👌straight lines!! Wasn’t sure if you ran the brush along the ruler or not? Where’s your reference photo?
@noellecurtisart
@noellecurtisart 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The ruler was used to guide my straight line. I had trouble painting my lines on the edge of the ruler and my pencil lines on my paper were hard to see under my brush, so it was helpful to just have the ruler next to it. Also, I didn’t initially link my reference photo, but I just added a link to it in the description so you can see the original image, unedited and un-cropped. Hope this helps!

Ma'am I am 19 years old and I want to be an expert in watercolor... but I struggle much while painting skys, clouds, water. Watching in video they looks so simple but when I try myself It becomes really hard. But I have top qualities of watercolor tools. Do I need more practice?
@noellecurtisart
@noellecurtisart 4 жыл бұрын
Watercolor is not easy, so don’t feel discouraged if you are experiencing challenges. Art supplies can make an impact on your art process as well, because I know that if I used different materials, I will get different results, even in the same price range. Just keep experimenting and trying new art processes that work for you 😊
