You know what's even better than a cotton cloth? One of those synthetic fabrics you use to clean your car. It's usually yellow and comes in a tube, kind of squishy when wet. Even a little piece of that thing absorbs so much, you won't need a big one.

i wanted to start painting in February and I ultimately decided to go into watercolour painting because of you Nitin. Thank you for your lovely videos. Also i found that using 2 jars of water is practical as i can use one for cleaning my brush (and get it very dirty) and the second for mixing with my colours (and have it always clean).

Dear Sir, a big thank you for this tutorial and for all the precedents that also closely and daily accompany my beginnings in watercolor painting. This tutorial about mixing is very realistic and answers some basic questions for the beginner that I am. Despite your superior level, you know how to put yourself within the reach of novices and it's really great - please continue, thank you in advance. Claude from France.

I'm really digging your art station setup Nitin. Not until the beginning of this video did I see a good view of it. I love the paper backer and you strapped a tripod to your frame! I'm going to setup something similar for myself soon. Thank you for inspiring my art!

Thank you very much for this helpful advice. And I have purchased the book, "The Miracle Morning" that you recommended. I have been using two glass jars for the water which works well, and using long-handled brush with a Terry mop on the end which easily gets the sludge color off the bottom and sides of the jar.

Hello Nitin, please use a porcelain palette. Your color becomes a bead whenever you mix. With porcelain palette you will be able to retain the mixed colors longer

Great explanation, it would be much more helpful for beginners, if you give us some idea about what kind of paper to use, like the thickness or the making of the paper and also the type of brush to use.

Yes you got it, though there are several other way to do this. But in this video I’m explaining most easiest way to understand this. I will look into those in later videos

Much needed aspect for beginners.. But I disagree on 2 things.. 1. Colors mixing on paper has a beauty by itself.. mixing many on palette has high chances of muddiness.. 2. You need to suggest to use a seperate clean water bowl. Dirty water to pick color for beginners isn't a good thing to teach. 👍

I have the typical question. What are the colors on your palette? I was able to figure out most of them. No light yellow. Is that thal o and ultramarine blue? Cad red and a crimson or is it purple? Its helpful to know which colors used during a vid on mixing.
@WanderlassS4 жыл бұрын
scarz1951 certain: Yellow ochre, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue guess: green, medium yellow, cobalt blue, basic orange
