That 1 minute of motivation at the end was so comforting, thank you for being so...transparent (pun intended) with your techniques

Thank you so much :) I tried to remember the various things that discouraged me, but ended up being totally normal and ok to ignore. When it comes to art, we limit ourselves by being afraid to make mistakes. If you spend an hour painting something, of course you are going to hate it 😂 just put it aside and reserve your judgement for when you have fresh eyes.

I love this one!!! I am loving the longer format and more complex drawings! Of course the simple 7 minute videos and drawings are great too!! But this is what I’ve been looking for! I feel like so many people cater to beginners but I love watching artists tackle a more complex art challenge!

💕💕💕 Thank you so much! I'm starting to realize that the editing is becoming a real bottleneck. I think I might try to focus on higher quality shorter video for now, and eventually when I get more comfortable with narration, I can do longer videos. It takes about an hour to produce one minute of video because my speech is very difficult to edit around. It will get easier when I start to make less mistakes.

@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 Totally! Whatever is easiest for you and makes you happiest! I used to edit a lot of video too so I know how long it takes to film, edit, find a good background license free song, get that thumbnail shot or edit it! I used to not talk and then after I edited everything I would just do voice over to match the video. It was easier for me. But everything you've been doing has been amazing! Absolutely love your content and art!

Hey there! At the 1:15 min mark where you fill the outlined layer, when I do the same the color part doesn't show the watercolor texture it just looks flat. Any tips? I bought your brush set on etsy just now.

Hi! Thank you for the video. I have a question- if I don’t use the same paper texture as what you have used, will it affect how my drawing looks? Cuz mine looks very different and not that great.
@calvinatdrifterstudio843811 ай бұрын
Thanks! I think all the textures look good for this - but it's very subjective. I'm worried that maybe something technical is goin wrong. Can you show me a screenshot of what it looks like? You can attach it to a message on my etsy store. I will be able to see what's going on and I'm sure we can solve it 🙏
