Hey there, Liron here!
Today I'm sharing with you 2 quick processes that show 2 different approaches to watercolor painting.
This isn't anything new, it's a topic I've been discussing for a long time now.
But I do think seeing these side by side, and with a similar subject, can help drive home the point.
I hope you enjoy this one 😊🙏🏼

Amazing how that white car turned out so realistic in such a short time (I know this is in a fast speed but even if it took an hour it is still considered fast by me who takes hours or days together to finish a painting 🤣🤣🤣) 🤗both the paintings are amazing Liron. Appreciate all your lessons

Thanks for the very interesting video! I think the white car technique is more difficult, because you have to get the final value right away, knowing in advance how much color loss there will be when it dries! Grazie per il video interessantissimo! Penso che la tecnica dell'auto bianca sia più difficile, perché bisogna azzeccare subito il valore definitivo, sapendo in anticipo quanta sarà la perdita di colore quando asciuga!

This was great! I would have loved to have the same reference used for both techniques

I absolutely love this!! Thank you so much for demonstrating this! You are first that I have actually seen do a comparison study with these two methods!! I naturally gravitate to using the 'Random Process', because I am naturaly a detailed oriented person and it just makes it easier for me to focus. I love how crisp it looks! I also want to learn to be looser in my paintings which I am currently doing studies with the 'light to dark' method and working on wet on wet. I'll have to do a study comparing the wet on wet compared to very wet on dry. I like the results that you achieved in both paintings and they both have such fascitinating results and aesthetics. I love the fact that you give us permission that we can choose either method based on the results we are desiring in the end result of our paintings!! Often times I feel like many art instructors are matter of fact and say that we must pick one or the other to produce consistency in our work, but that is not true. I have learned through you that is part of our artistic liberties to do what works best for our art. Thanks Liron!!! 🙂

Good job! Think the process depends also on the subject to paint, its composition, colors and so on.
