In this video I am demonstrating a watercolor figurative painting depicting a woman celebrating “Holi” - the Indian festival of colors symbolizing the onset of Spring. I am working with Holbein watercolors and white gouache on Strathmore cold pressed watercolor paper

Materials used
Strathmore cold press watercolor paper - www.amazon.com...
Paint - Holbein watercolor - affiliate-prog...
Watercolor paintbrushes - flat and round brushes
Accessories:
Paint board and tape - This helps me to paint upright. When added water, watercolor paper buckles up. The tape also helps to get the paper to get back to flat as it dries.

First off, I love her face. I appreciate the tip about using wet into wet to paint skin tone in watercolor. I'm planning to do some watercolor paintings in the near future. I don't have any portraits planned, but I look forward to seeing how that works out for me. I also like working in small sections, just for my sanity, lol. Trying to tackle a whole painting at once can be overwhelming.
