Thank you so much, Patricia! I think everyone will paint the same scene differently. It's pretty exciting seeing how each artist paints something.

You should absolutely go to Maine. We usually go to Southwest Harbor on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. Lately, we camp because we like bringing our dog and camping is perfect for young boys. I can recommend a lot of short scenic hikes if you want. I’ve done the longer ones but not in a few years. We spent every summer up there until recently. A few weeks was perfect!

As always love watching you ... and seeing the amazing outcome... can I ask where the wax crayon is that you mentioned.. and what is the product? Thanks again
@JBranchStudio6 жыл бұрын
Kath, it's a bought watercolor painting crayon. I have the pros and cons of different resists on this page and video: jenniferbranch.com/PaintingWatercolor/Art-Lessons/Art-Lesson-Wax-Resist.html I hope that helps!

I always look forward to your tutorials. I'd love to see you do this and include the lighthouse. I'm curious, if you weren't doing the tutorial, would you still keep your palette so far away from your paper? Personally, I like to have my stuff pretty close together, esp. to keep the paint from dripping onto things. TFS

Candy, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Yes, that's my palette drawer and where I actually use it. I had the desk made a long time ago and set up just right for me. My favorite feature is I can sit or stand at it to get different angles. I really like the desk tilted and the drawer flat too. It's probably not as far as it looks in the video, very handy distance. It's my studio, so I don't care where it drips, but I rarely have that problem either.

How do you remove the wax crayon?
@kristinegoetsch80096 жыл бұрын
Patti Once you put the wax down it can’t be removed.
@JBranchStudio6 жыл бұрын
Patti, you can’t. It won’t ever come off completely, even if you iron it or the other tricks. I have a video on using wax crayons you might watch.
