Painting these watercolor roses is easier than you might think!
- Start with skinny “C” strokes circling each other for the center in thick paint - I’m using Indian Red.
- Then pick up a watery mixture of a lighter color (I’m using Jaune Brilliant #1) and paint thicker “C” strokes around the center until you get your desired rose shape.
- Drop in the darker color to the lighter color while it’s still wet.
- Next, take a dark color to add depth to the center of the rose - I chose Mineral Violet.
- Add a few green leaves and you’re finished! I like to cut these roses out and turn them into little gift tags.
