Happy New Year Yin 🍀! The hanzi you wrote, does it mean fortune? Wonderful and mysterious painting 😍🤩! I love my Chinese brushes, I use them regularly. They are great whenever I need irregular, organic shapes and hold so much water. But I am ashamed to say I never used them for practicing kanji 😖...I always use a pencil or ballpen for them. I should change that.

Hello! I have been trying to recreate this, at least color-wise, with what I have. I can't seem to recreate half the yellows used here correctly, and visiting the AP site doesn't show #82. Do you have any suggestions for alternative common watercolor colors that are close to what you used? Thanks!

I’m sorry to hear that you have some problems to find #82 color. Unfortunately, AP doesn’t only sell #82 refill. It’s part of Watercolor Confection set- Odyssey. However, you can also use “Yellow Ochre” from Daniel Smith or “Indian Yellow” from Schmincke Horadam. Any yellow that is richer and warmer can be the alternative! Hope this information helps!
