People underestimate how difficult watercolor is to master. It doesn't help that you make it look effortless. Well done.
@jimmorras7886 Жыл бұрын
I started watercolor a month ago and I completely agree! You watch good artists paint and you think to yourself " that doesn't look hard, I can do that", but when you give it a try you want to pull your hair out.
@paintingsbypenelope Жыл бұрын
Jim Morras Absolutely! I started out in watercolor. After trying oils I switched completely. But for plein air it's less gear to carry so now I'm learning this medium all over again.
@creadastra_art Жыл бұрын
It just takes some practice, if you follow the steps and know how watercolor works (which takes some more practice) then you can totally pull it off. Even when you make the same picture 5 times, you will notice that nr 5 is way better than yoir first try. I enjoyed this tutorial,thank you. 🙏

I'm in tears over how beautifully skilled you are, when you seemingly pass a brush in a general direction. You're truly a gift to watch at work. Thank you for posting; I'm sure watching this video alone on repeat will make me much more confident with a brush.

I thought this painting was finished 5 minutes in. It just kept getting better and better the longer you painted. I guess this is what is meant by developing a painting. Simply gorgeous!

Beautiful sunset painting! Every morning about 5:30am, I pour my coffee and turn on your video and I love starting my day this way. I don't care if you are working from a photo or a vision in your head, what is important to me is watching you execute wonderful pieces of art and I thank you!

I want to work super hard for as many years it takes, and come to the level of skill that you just exhibited. What I admired the most in this painting was your confident use of close-to-opaque paint. You're definitely an inspiration! Thank you for sharing this here!❤️

I’ve only painted with acrylics. But this inspired me to try watercolor. I’ve always thought watercolor was too hard to try to paint with. But this exhibit made it seem effortless. But I know that it’s a lot harder than you made it. I will give it a try. Thank you for encouraging me with your beautiful art!

This is simply beautiful. Initially, I found watercolor quite intimidating. Then, I did my first and found it more forgiving than acrylic. As I watched your art work come to life, it is obvious that you make it seem so effortless. I know, it won't be for me but I feel quite inspired. Thank you for sharing and encouraging viewers like myself.

I absolutely love your paintings! You’re very talented! I was wondering about the way you handle your brush as far as the way you will put a quick stroke ,or touch of paint and then pull your hand away in a quick manner! I love it! I’m sure there’s a reason you learned this style of handling your brushes. I used to paint with acrylics and have converted to watercolor and am loving it! I have to say it’s much more challenging! You are helping me learn how to layer my colors for the best and most beautiful outcome so far on my journey learning this medium. Thanks again for all your posts! I just wish you spoke for more direction. Do you teach classes? If so please let me know how I can become one of your students. Have a wonderful day and thanks again! 😁😁😁

Oooh, a super sky and sunset. This is by far the most enjoyable "loose style" painting (i.e. - no drawing reference of any kind). I've started to do some drawing for cityscapes but it's not going too well at the moment, maybe I should go back to the fluid landscapes for a while. This one here would be a great one to heal my drawing nightmare! Thank you Javid for your consistently beautiful, deceptively simple and wonderfully inspirational paintings to start the day.

Hey There- Great Video- What did you do to make the Sun and the Sun's Reflection on the water stand out to blazing white??? We couldnt see what's in your hand... Oh, I bet you used Gum Arabic, also known as Masking Fluid, and then just put it on first where you'd want it to be 'white' and then just wiped off the color when ready to expose it- What that right?? Thank you!! :)
