I really like how much the watercolored cutout heart & word added to the card - pulled it together a bunch. thanks!

It looks really, REALLY, beautiful. For a 13 year-old, who could only dream to do the stuff you do is SO inspiring. I just wanna say thank you. Your card making makes me happy when I'm down. Again, THANK YOU 💗

I couldn't say it any better! (Except I'm a couple-few years older). To paraphrase Rumi, Dreams come from the heart that whispers, "Do this." Listen.

labyrinthrockgal I will, I just can't do anything because I don't have any materials and supplies since I'm just 13, but I would like to start as soon as possible!

You don't need expensive supplies to make beautiful things! You can use super cheap watercolour pans to learn painting techniques, ballpoint pens and printer paper to make beautiful drawings, chalk and the sidewalk to make murals that will make people smile :)
@LedgerAndLace7 жыл бұрын
What runexheart said! Also, Drawing On The Right Side of The Brain is an EXCELLENT book to teach drawing. And all you need is a pencil and paper. Don't let lack or your age be a reason not to do something. Pencils are cheap and books are free at the library. Lots of tutorials on KZbin. GO FOR IT!!! :-)

Just like everyone else said, you don't need expensive supplies!! I'm 12 and a card maker, I order supplies online where you can get ink pads for $2 each, they may not be Distress inks, but they still work perfectly fine. Don't let your age or budget stop you creating cards! I wish you success in your future cardmaking💗💗💗!!!!

Hi Kristina ~ Gorgeous results with this stencil....I'm definitely going to give this a try! (Wish I had all those plastic doily things my mother used to have around the house when I was a kid! LOL...they'd probably work well too.). Thanks for sharing. ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters

Why do you use an acrylic block to spray the watercolor as opposed to tapping a brush? Curious.
@kwernerdesign9 күн бұрын
Because I feel like I have more control of where the paint splatters. Give it a try and see if you notice a difference as well. :)

I've been watching you tube videos for a few months now and learning a lot. I love that now I am doing the same things and now know the techniques and have learned all this from you. In the beginning it was all gibberish. I love your work and still am in awe of your talent. At least now I understand everything. I'm now a hoarder of supplies and I wonder if I'll live long enough to use them all. I have found my passion: art.

Hi Kristina! Great job! Lots of helpful hints - I’ve found a lot of seepage too, so thanks for the hints! Also,I know it’s been addressed, but if anyone can give me hints on what watercolor card stock doesn’t pill, I’d be thankful! I got Canson, used it with distress inks,and it’s pilled like mad and I’ve had to throw some away... Tim Holz has been my mainstay but wondered if anyone has better info- thanks so much! Have a great day and God bless!
@kwernerdesign5 жыл бұрын
Hmm... You're getting pilling with Canson XL (is it the XL watercolor paper?)? Usually when you get pilling it's because there is too much water on the paper all at once and your brush is "scratching" the soft wet fibers. You might need to let the paper dry a bit before working on it some more. Try to work in layers. Usually that helps quite a bit. I use Canson XL watercolor paper frequently and haven't had any pilling issues.

Thank so much! I lost the cover of the pad, but I think it’s just the regular watercolor card stock.. thank you for the heads up! I’ll implement that!
