I just recently found you and have SO enjoyed and appreciated all that I have learned from your tutorials. I love your more relaxed style of watercolor, and your 'doodles' and sketching tutorials have inspired me greatly.. I loved the birdhouse series and did one of my own for fun. I work in stained glass and wanted to do a series of stained glass bird houses, designing several of my own, so your birdhouse series was of particular interest and inspiration for me. Your use of business card and labels have been another wonderful inspirational ideas that I've so enjoyed trying.. Your use of business cards resulted in my cleaning out my desk and gathering all the business cards I've collected over the years and now I have a nice pile of those with plain backs and am using those for various little paintings and drawings! Ive purchased several books of grasses and other botanicals and have had SUCH FUN drawing and painting small sketches and mini paintings for may own amazement. I happened to have a small roll of labels in my desk and tried using those as well. What fun! I would never have thought to use labels for drawing or painting. I've never been very good at drawing, but your tutorials have definitely helped improve my impoverished skills! Also, I SO like your idea of taping my paper into squares and rectangles and painting the smaller pieces. I shared the idea with my youngest grand daughter (16) via online, and then painted and sent her a sample sheet of little paintings; She wrote me today saying she had received the painting and has posted it on her refrigerator. Ha! She will be here in a couple of weeks, so I am hoping we can paint a couple of similar pieces together while she is here. I've painted four of my own so far, cutting two of them into squares and using them in cards and a journal I made for a friend. But some of the little flower painting were SO CUTE I've not been able to part with them. Ha! I'll have to make color copies I guess! You mentioned Creations by CeeCee. I love her work as well. She was the first artist I encountered when I first went online in early 2000 looking for watercolor artists. I have several larger pieces that were inspired by her tutorials that I have framed. Thank you for your lovely inspirational drawings and paintings. You have been such an inspiration for me ~ more than you will ever know! I will continue to follow your work and look forward to all you have to share. I hope you are enjoying your new home and studio. My best to you and your family! Dixie

If you had a blow dryer there you could "warm" up the tape so it will pull off easier.

Did you know by pulling off the tape at an Engle will sometimes help your paper not to tear. You can also use your heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the tape as you pull it off. Yes cheaper watercolor paper has some wood pulp in it, so that's why the tape grabs the paper. Only 100% cotton paper usually will not tear as you remove your tape Remember to Pull at an angle to remove tape from any watercolor paper. Hope this helps you.🤗
