Your old 11 minute peony video is helping paint again. Five weeks ago my 40 y/I son died and I lost my desire to paint. Yours was my first inspiration to paint again so I thank you for bringing my passion for watercolor painting back. I know part of my issue is my paper, as I have learned that is VERY important, but I still have not learned how to blend and wash the colors together with out the hard lines or big blob.

That is AMAZING! You make it all seem effortless and I know it isn't. Just bought all my supplies, but am still too scared to start. Am taking a calligraphy course presently and will try to fit this in between something as a way to relax. Find that Calligraphy is very satisfying, but makes me really tired because I'm so intensely focused. This would be a nice break. Thank you for being you and being such an inspiration to all of us.

My paint is drying too fast to allow second color to bloom, How wet do you put the light pink on? And how do you reapply water if it dries? Could you explain a little more? I am using Arches cold press and usually happy with it. Thanks
