So so beautiful Peter!!. You achieved what you wanted, the peace and calmness comes right out of the painting. Your colors are so right, the stones are very real. I just love it!!.❤

I'm happy to have stumbled upon traditional watercolorists here on youtube. Not to discredit my age group, but as a self-taught artist, I find it important to start with good foundation and theories and all that jazz. If you look at the concerns of most younger artists, they struggle right away on finding their style, anime? photo-realism? cartoony? kidlit art? Personally, I think style comes after years of practice of the foundations. That way, you don't get stuck just doing paintings your style and can experiment with other ways of painting. Sorry for the soliloquy. I just want to remind myself of it, too. KZbin viewers may subcribe because they like a style but if beginner to intermediate artists want to get clients, too, flexibility is key.

Great tutorial. One question. When you softened the stones that are under the water, did you use a brush with paint on it or did you use a brush with just water? Thanks!
