@@MrFaleh1129 yeah, for all but the worst performing games, a modern high-end gpu is super overkill, and i'd be seriously concerned if games in 4 years run badly on them arguably a portion of 'get the latest gear' is for the feeling of pride at having the best, personally, a custom made, awesome case like this would far outweigh any of the mass-produced components

Absolute masterpiece! I was very curious to see the final look of this build, and I'm not disappointed! Just a small detail to point out though, I was looking at the moment you turned the case around at 1:39:12, went back to look again. The radiator next to the GPU is not straight. It woudn't be too noticeable it it wasn't for all the horizontal bars for one thing, and secondly the vertical cutout of the side panel not lining up with the radiator vertical pipes. That made it stand out immediately to me, as you turned the case around, I saw immediately that radiator was not aligned. The other two look perfecty straight though! But that's just me pointing a small detail out, I'm ocd about details like this. But this is undeniably a masterpiece! Well done! On my side whenever I have a custom PC to build (nothing as crazy as this!), I always do the whole thing in CAD (SolidWorks) first, to have the final look before actually building anything, and know exactly where I'm going, have every dimension right (mostly). Then I send things to be machined. It's rare to see these days someone doing the entirety of a build like that by hand, and get to such an impressive result! Lots of work for sure.

Awesome work. Lovely build. Fantastic attention to detail. It was a joy to watch you go through the build process and especially the decision making processes. Maybe you could considering using a flexible risier for a future build so you could route it behind the GPU to show off the copper backplate. You could also consider making a single lasercut combined io shield for both the motherboard and the gpu. That way you can achieve an even cleaner rear panel. Thanks again for a great watch. I'm looking forward to the next build.

Great to see it completed! Do you have a personal preference for using hand tools and free-hand grinding etc. over "fixed" tools, jigs and machines? Personally, I would have preferred using a drill press, angle cutting saw and whatnot for most tasks. But that's mainly because I really don't like seeing lines that are not perfectly straight or rounded corners that are not perfectly circular in my own work - that's just how my mind works.

A true masterpiece 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 , I was wondering, could you add dust filters to the grills on both the sides of the cases ? As a extra measure ? Also you could use a colored or tinted mesh to hide the insides, so that you cannot see the components through the grills, just a suggestion.

On black PCBs I find the bright nylon edge annoying. To color them black, I run a black felt tip (Sharpie/Edding) around them. That works nicely.

When you don't have a reservoir there has to to be some air in the system to allow the coolant to expand as it heats or the loop will fail due to excess water pressure.

In regards to your back logo above psu. Make that same stamp into the actual back panel then attach a brass plate to the inside to give some contrast and match the hardware.
@donut31103 ай бұрын
This is so cool, been quite the journey seeing it come together. I guess for final thoughts, would a build like this also work with an external power supply? Connect all the wires into something like a power board and then one cable from the PSU into the back of the case? Idk, just theorycrafting here, but seeing some fairly large external PSU's it gave me a couple of ideas. Maybe shifting the entire motherboard and GPU over, combine the pump and GPU block, with room to spare for some airflow or even a full sized radiator since it would essentially be a PSU delete.

I can’t remember if this is something that was discussed in the first episode and if not, I’m unsure if it’s something you’d want to discuss in the follow-up, but I’d be super interested to learn how the pricing of a project like this is broken down. Obviously, that might be sensitive information, and it’s not entirely relevant to most of your viewers given how few people would be interested in such a custom project, but I’d love to understand the cost breakdown of this between the parts, materials, and labor. I imagine there’s a justified premium on your time given your experience and how much custom work went into the build.
@tommyknaggard62983 ай бұрын
They said on Reddit that he got a substantial discount, cause they used it for YT content and so on. But it was over 5k in parts alone and about 150hrs of work. Don`t think you`ll get more information than that.

@@ΔαυίδΠριδεαυξ I only got 1 240 rad in my T1 because I didnt get a founder's 4090. With a Asus Tuf PCB it just wouldn't fit 2 rad. Im lastly think about making water cooled vrm just for funn on my b350 motherboard. It don't look that complicated or expensive, I just need to remove original vrm heat sink, take all measurements and use them to make water box, it's not cpu, so I don't need to do finstack etc. just top cover with threads for fittings... It's really easy to do in some 3d modeling software and send it to some cnc manufacture. But im worried about mounting this to motherboard, now vrm is on push pins and I need to screw it, how hard etc :P maybe you have some advice? I want to do that because i will buy ryzen 9 5950x and this cpu just throttle on full load because of too weak vrm but if vrm will be chill enough i think this work just as every other better vrm :P I just want to this for fun as i said earlier, ofc i can just buy better motherboard but naaaah XD
