Amazing!! The color combination is perfect for this. It's no wonder you were stressed, you were trying to get 4 canvases to work together. Acrylic pouring gives the artist a one-off or a series done in the same colors, all looking quite different. But you made a whole bloom over 4 canvases. Amazing!!

Absolutely perfect choice of colors! That one gave you trouble, but you conquered it like the pro that you are. The centers of all 4 paintings are cohesive enough that when put together it makes them one, therefore you don’t have to do anything to the centers unless you choose to. It’s you art, and although so many of us already find it perfect we know that you must find it perfect. Lastly, I just wanted to tell you that you may not realize it, but in choosing to use your ring finger to remove some of the excess paint you have chosen the finger that applies the least amount of pressure. I am in a similar situation where I have to paint in my kitchen and then move everything. It kind of takes a little bit of the joy out of it. I hope as it becomes warmer, and you can do some outside painting, you will find renewal in the fresh air and sunshine.

I wonder what would happen if you added some white paint on the outside so you could make the blossom larger. I just love your colors so beautiful.

Aussie Floetrol has more open time, so add a humectant (Golden & Liquitex make good ones) to American Floetrol & you will get the same performance. I love the corners the way they are.
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
So if I add a wetting agent or a retarder to my American Floetrol it will be as reactive as Australian Floetrol?
@cynthiawilson82944 жыл бұрын
It should. Here is a link to the company in Oz with a brief description of how the humectant changes the behavior of the paint. I have a bottle of propylene glycol that I will add 1:20 to Floetrol and comparison test with untreated Floetrol.
Use light bar vices clamp all four together pour spin separate let edges trip down sides.

Is the base paint on canvas a thicker consistency than the colors when doing dutch pours? Is the base paint same consistency as colors for flip cups, tree rings, straight pours, etc? Love your work, your humor, your genuine transparent generous self. Bless you! Stay healthy💕
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
A Dutch pour uses thinner paints-including the base. A good ring pour will be a bit thicker to maintain the rings.

Do you have a garden Karen? We recently moved to a house with a damp old workshop 15ft by 9ft, that we had insulated and fitted out with shelves etc...It is 10 ft from our rear door and I can sneak out there whenever. You could buy a small lodge for the garden and make it your studio. Bliss!
