Thanks for watching! Please subscribe!! ALL-dyslexic typo in the video for the pouring medium! It’s 2:1 paint to varnish, not the other way around! My bad!
@StephanieGagos4 жыл бұрын
what is the ratio of the untinted base to the varnish 2:1? or 1:1?

Loved the second one right away. The first was nice initially, but after the prominent white within the black really showed up, I loved it, too. The third was wonderful, but the closeup showed the swirling river of colors in the middle better - it's totally gorgeous and whimsical. Thanks for letting us know how to find the boxes - I have no idea how you managed to even track them down, who uses sublimation!? The best part of them, though, is when they come from you.

@ginafeddersen82004 жыл бұрын
Perfection Karen! You are so amazing and I love your art! Thank you for all your tips! 😘🤗🥰🌟😊👏🤗🥰🥰🤗😊. If you have, but I doubt it, any tiles that you are not Happy with, once completely dry, you can just soak in warm water for about 30-60 mins and the “skin” will just come off, use a little Kitchen knife for the corner. This only works with this type of pour as the housepaint on the bottom loosens very easily. You have skins that are larger and whole in 1 piece. I am not a skin person either, but I practice on my tiles, so saving these for a rainy day. I did a posting on IG a few months back. Have a lovely weekend and hope your daughter recuperates well from her eye surgery.😘🤗😘🤗

Thanks to you I knew how to search for boxes. Sublimation boxes! I found a great deal on small lined boxes that are selected seconds with slight imperfections. They arrive today so I will soon know if I made a good decision. Please tell us how you adhere the tile to the box. I assume you use a special glue. Many thanks.
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Yes I use E6000 glue-Home Depot or Michaels.
@sharonmansfield92144 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your sublimation boxes. I always wondered where to buy them. Could you do some tiles that are not the bloom technique so we can see how those would look? A lot of us do not do the blooms, too many materials to buy, too expensive and too much trouble! Boy, I love your blooms. These tiles turned out so cool, great colors. 👍🎨👏❤️

I will try!

These are really beautiful tiles, Karen! Thanks for making this video! I have a question for you: for how many days can the Cell Activator be stored before it loses its cell activation? Thanks!
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
Couple of weeks if not longer. Just give it a dollop of Floetrol and mix well.
@kimberlyaltman55354 жыл бұрын
@@WaterfallAcrylics Really! That's great news! I thought it would only be good for one or two days. Are you saying that after I've already mixed up the CA and it's been a few days, I should just add a bit more Floetrol to freshen it up or to thin it a bit? Thanks so much, Karen!
@beramberh.49444 жыл бұрын
I loooove these they're so beautiful!! I saw several Julie from Pouring Your Heart Out had done that were stunning as well!! 😍 I have never tried this technique, not ready to just yet. Have only been pouring for about 3-4 months and will be moving in 4-5 months so I figure it's bet to wait, practice more and when ready to give this a go definitely take the course first!! Your advice there that I value! 😊 Thank you for sharing these!!
@dianegreen90054 жыл бұрын
Duh I just realized why the two different house paints. The Glidden is the pillow and the other is for the pouring medium. I didn’t notice any Aussie floetrol though, does the pouring medium work without it or is the floetrol for the cell activator?
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
It’s only for the cell activator-no Floetrol in either house paint.
@constancehudson34554 жыл бұрын
If you told us, I missed it. Do you resin the tiles or use a type of varnish after the paint is dry? My tiles seem snug and I am afraid that a coat of resin might make them too thick and then impossible to fit into the cutout on top of the box. Your opinion, please. Thank you.
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes I resin them with KSResin. I have the same problem with the tiles being snug and have to use my dremel on all sides to shave them down a tiny bit. I use E6000 glue to adhere.
@constancehudson34554 жыл бұрын
Thank you for replying. Is there a specific reason you use KSResin and not the a Pro-Marine Resin that you use in your “How to Resin” Video? Do you shave the tiles down before you resin or after? That is probably a dumb question but I am a dummy! Thank you.
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
I switched to KSRevin because it has UV inhibitors and it’s cheaper. Please it’s lovely to work with. Shave after resin.
@belindaripper84004 жыл бұрын
which pouring medium do you use most? golden,s 0r the deep base and polycrylic
@WaterfallAcrylics4 жыл бұрын
I switch back and forth but am currently using the deep base/poly combo just to see what can be done with it!
