Hey, I had the snip over twenty years ago. My wife came with and watched. What was outrageous was about 5 minutes before the start I was waiting in a gown and was talking with my surgeon when another doctor stuck his head in the room and said, “ I have a group of interns with me, would it be ok if they observe”? My surgeon said yes and look to me. I said, of course, the more the merrier. Well he threw the door open and in walked 10 female interns, early twenties with lots of questions. Thank goodness none of them asked if all penises are that small?😜😂🍺

I had it done 20 years ago by a Air Force surgeon, and he was anything but gentle. He was having a conversation with me as he was snipping and clipping. He even asked me if I wanted mirror so I could watch and I'm like no thank you 🤣.Have some bags of frozen peas on hand after the surgery, and don't plan on riding motorcycles for about a week or so. You're friend described the experience correctly.

Well done sir. Regarding the vasectomy, i'm a fan. Had it done as a 1st wedding anniversary gift for the both of us. Great procedure, very secure: not just a cut & tie, but a section removed & both ends secured backward. That nonsense is NOT growing back. 15 minutes I think, very easy, the vicodin was a treat, took one day off work. Done. Also: this was about 20 years ago, so the methods might be even better. Recommended to everyone forever.

I had a vasectomy in 2014. It takes less than 10 mins. It was over before you know it. No pain. They gave me pain meds but didn’t take them. This might sound gross but when the doctor seared the “tube”, smelled like a cooking a hot dog over the fire. I was back to normal in 1-2 days. Can’t even tell where it was done now. Don’t worry, easier than the dentist. You’ve got this Dork!!!

As always, another GREAT video, Dork. I have three things to say about this video. First, you DID NOT make friends with a raccoon, you were intimidated by her. She is probably being well fed by other campers, and has grown accustomed to “people = food” and was hungry, and looking for free hand outs”. Second, and it’s a two part observation, your choice of adult beverages, and Mr Puff-puffs, are YOU. It’s what makes YOUR videos special, and unique. I enjoy those parts of your videos. I for one, do not drink or smoke, but like you said, “I’ll do me, you do you”. Kudos to you for enjoying yourself, and sharing that little piece of enjoyment with the rest of us. I’m sure many of your viewers are living vicariously through you, because they CAN’T smoke or drink any longer. Thirdly, about your upcoming “procedure”, I have no experience with that, however... Plenty of my coworkers and close friends have. Also, my with worked in a urologist office for five years. Never, were there any serious complications, it’s a very common and simple procedure, and it will definitely NOT take the full 30 minutes, that you fear it will. Even if you do experience SOME discomfort afterwards, like you said, you will just chill out on the couch and “walk it off”. I have a coworker who, LIKE YOU, rides motorcycles. He had NO discomfort, or pain, whatsoever. Because of your conditioning from riding bikes, and your “lead-bottom” like, ability to go HOURS in the saddle, where mere mortals would have to pull over and hold there butt cheeks, my guess is, there is NOT a tougher set of sack and berries out there, than the Dork in the Road’s, and that YOU will be making a comment in a future video, about how easy of a procedure it was for you. From AAAAALLLLL the stories I’ve heard, and there are plenty, the most uncomfortable part of the WHOLE “ordeal” was having to return to the urologist’s office weeks later, with a sample, to ensure there are no more little Dorks, swimming around in the specimen cup. Having gone through THAT traumatizing experience myself, when wifey was having difficulty “getting” pregnant, I can honestly say, THAT was the worst medical experience, I’ve ever had to endure, so my heart goes out to YOU, and all the strong men, who have had to sheepishly present their swimmers, to some technician, for testing, wether from a procedure like yours, or in my case, for fertility testing purposes. GOOD LUCK DORK, thanks for sharing the kinder, gentler parts of the Dork side, you’ll be just fine brother. Best wishes, BJ Miller New Hampshire USA PS; Once the docs figured out it was wifey, and got her her on something to help her with fertility, BJ Miller junior was born just a year or so later.

Great stuff. Any beer is good beer. Hmm, well maybe not but when your camping and on the fringe of society surviving in the deep forests of North America the most important thing is finding that one beer that Bigfoot might like. Campers across the country accidentally leave beers and cigarettes behind when they pack up their campsites. Somewhere out there a Bigfoot is jonesing for for a cold one. My guess is they like IPA’s

Regarding the snip, I had that done over 22 years ago, and I still get laughs whenever I share my story. After the nurse preped me on the table, which was somewhat embarrassing, the surgeon thought he would be nice and introduce himself. When he leaned over to say hi and shake my hand, he inadvertently stepped on the pedal that lowers the head of the table, and it stuck. For the next few moments, by head kept going down, to the point where I had to hook my feet on the instrument tray to keep from sliding off the table head first, essentially naked. Finally, the surgeon got the table level again, and then he unplugged the table so it wouldn't happen again. Crazy!

My wife had her tubes tied after the birth of our third child. She was the one having the babies. :) I lucked out because there was a study that showed there might be long term issues with the snip. As it turned out the study was bogus, but it was the best info at the time.

So much to comment about! Firstly, you really opened yourself up for even more beer comments... I get it - I only drink non-alcoholic beer... I know, I know, yada yada. Water off the ducks back! I had the snip a couple of years back. Mine was a little different - I developed two hernias, and told the surgeon to get things done while he was in there for the hernias. So, I was asleep for the whole thing, and afterwards, I can't tell if I was sore from the hernias, or the vasectomy. I've heard you should be able to jog home afterwards if you're a real man 🤣 All will be well - we make it way worse in our heads than it actually is - you are going to be fine.

For the V, a good ice bag, your favorite whiskey, pain pills (I just used a cocktail of 1 500 mg Tylenol and 2 200mg Advil ever 4 - 6 hours), and some boob tube for a few days was the ticket. Snip snip lasting less then 30 minutes was a breeze.

Don't worry about the vasectomy man. I just had it done and it really wasn't any big deal. To be honest I get much more anxious going to the dentist than I was getting "the snip". Ha! I did not expect THAT in the fireside chat. The snip was not too bad. The first snip was nothing, the second felt like I took a grounder to the boys. Overall, nothing too awful. Now there was one side effect. The doctor was playing Journey's greatest hits when doing the procedure, and even a decade later, when I hear Steve Perry the boys relive the trauma. I kid you not!

Just had my procedure in january. it was 100% worth it. No pain during the procedure. Only thing I felt was a slight sting from the numbing but beyond that I felt nothing and me and the doctor just had a chat for 20 mins and it was over. Super easy. The procedure itself is way easier than expected. Very little pain for a week or so afterwards.. Honestly could have gone without advil. Just take at least 3-5 days off your feet. Minimize your movement as much as possible for at least the first 3 days and use frozen peas 20 mins on 20 mins off for the first few days as needed. Gradually work your way back into your normal life. If you feel pain or discomfort stop. Took me about 2-3 weeks to feel 100%. Overall its not that bad. I would wait ATLEAST a week before goin for a ride. You go this. Its not bad at all.

Thanks for sharing and don't worry about the snip Ben! It is nerve-wracking but the only pain is when they remove the conductive (grounding for electric scalpel?) tape after you're done, it hurts like way worse than anything else. Coors Light is my 2nd choice for cheap beer. The 1st is and forever my favorite is PBR. I had the old snip snip shortly after my 2nd son was born. It was not anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Awkward is probably the best way to describe it. My advice is stock up on frozen peas to swap out to contain swelling and before the surgery exceed the standard for shaving. I've had buddies get it and they had the nurse shave. They aren't happy they have to do that.

I have not even worried about thinking of getting the big V done. I have little inclination to spend any time with anyone any more, let alone a relationship. lol
