Yeah I'm very late to join the Lock-Off party. Once again, this is mostly for demonstration and personal usage.
-Light Roll isn't necessary. BUT, it's like 10x easier. For both Mid Roll and Light Roll you actually don't need to do a full circle. You just need to redirect the attack. That said, the extra distance from the Light Roll helps massive because the timing and the direction of the Roll can be too precise for Mid Roll.
-As someone who used the Lock-On for a long time, Lock-Off is better imo. Although I guess it might simply be a preference thing and I also still don't have the most experience with Lock-Off. But I'm fairly certain it gives the player more freedom in terms of setting up the dodge.
